Question Classifieds - Ammo and Reloading Supplies - two separate subforums?

I know you've had suggestions for Classifieds - Firearms Rifle vs Pistol ect.. to me those are really trivial compared to the Ammo section.

Resellers of OEM ammo vs reloading components or reloading tools whould be a simple and very helpful separation. I've sold OEM ammo (Wallyworld - tried to be reasonable), but trying to buy brass, primers ect is like wading through this endless list of ammo resellers..

Just my 2 cents.

This has been postulated many times. When I am looking for components, I have no intrest in ammo. When I am looking for 7.62X39, 5.45X39 or 7.62X54r (the only ammo I buy) I am not looking for components.

Sounds like a good idea to me, as I too have been having a hard time looking for reloading components

Do a search this is not a new idea - this like other subjects has literally been posted / beat to death

No offense intended in saying this since its hard to read tone through text type but its basic math the more sub forums there are the more work / clutter there is for the Mods to deal with and moderate the less they are able to do what they are really needed for elsewhere making the site worse for us all as a whole. All because you don't want to do more work on your end by using the tools already provided like the search function or good old fashioned elbow grease in going through the posts in the ammo section when really it moves at a snails pace compared to the other sections like the firearms and parts listings besides what ever happened to the thrill of the hunt lol.

Its already really freaking hard to get people to do things that are already forum rules like posting in the correct sections and putting their location in their info or listings - being to lazy to go through sections to find what you want or need isn't a legitimate problem worth taking up the moderators time who are already spread thin its like people suggesting sub forums for Socal and Norcal because they don't want to look through both areas listings or separate sections for pistols and rifles when all its going to do is clutter the site more for everyone else looking to buy or make more work for the people selling both or who are willing to ship. Sometimes less is more and this is a good example if it was a good idea they would have already done it sorry but its not like they don't know reloading exists or its anything new under the sun ether. The real reason your having trouble finding reloading stuff is because of the market right now its tricking down / affecting reloading components ( has been if you ask most ) making a separate section isn't going to make more magically appear or really make things easier if anything it will make the stuff you want go faster where now you at least have a chance even if its on page five

Searching does not work unless you are looking for something very specific. When browsing for other items on the classifieds, most often I'll find something I want that I never would have otherwise looked for. Doing a specific search for everything makes it enough of a PITA that I'll just go browse dealers websites instead of trying to filter out the sea of listings I'm not interested in.

So adding more sub sections for us all to weed through is the solution to that ?!?

I have used the search function plenty of times and it pulls up key words for items I am interested in just fine nothing is perfect I'm ok with refining my searches or looking through a couple of pages of text for the sake of saving money or to give another Calguns.net member my money instead of a big company or retailer and if you give up that easy and go else where to pay full retail that is fine just by me it just means I have a better chance of finding a deal or a item I want for a lesser amount. I feel the extra effort on my part is rewarded with helping others and myself by saving a few bucks - your results or point of view may differ but don't clutter up the site or make it harder on the mods and in turn us all so you can have your cake and eat it to please and thank you
