There was a service for Michael Crain in Riverside this Wednesday. I know this because the owners and employees of the gun store I frequent went to the funeral.

There is also a way to help the family through donation:

http://www.riversideca.gov/rpd/default.asp

We would like to thank everyone for their kindness & support. Should you wish to make a donation for the victim's family. Please make your checks payable to "Riverside Police Officers Association Assistance Fund" or "RPOA" mail to: 1965 Chicago Ave, Suite B, Riverside CA 92507.

In regards to the Riverside deputy who survived the attack.....I know his father, who is a Lt. on my department. Word is, the surviving deputy will probably not be able to return to law enforcement due to the extent of his injuries.

He was a lateral transfer from another department and that was his first week with Riverside and was going through an orientation period.

I am withholding names for privacy reasons.

Neither rpd officer or sbso deputy injured will ever go 10-8 again. The extent of their injuries is too severe imo. .223 rounds are no joke & they are both lucky to be alive.
