Default Weight of a M91/30 bayonet

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to both calguns.net and the Mosin Nagant market, and that's basically why I'm posting here. I have two M91/30s on the way to my local FFL, and although they were sold as just being the rifle itself, I've noticed that the weight of the package according to UPS is 5.7 lbs. heavier than what http://7.62x54r.net has listed in the specifications for these rifles. Therefore, does anyone know the weight of a M91/30 bayonet all by itself? I'm wondering if I ended up being lucky by actually getting the accessories as well. Thanks in advance for any info.

I'd think a Mosin bayonet is about a quarter of a pound in weight? My guess is you're getting the rifles with all the accessories.

The bayonet doesn't weight much at all. Maybe you'll get 5 lb. of cosmoline with it. Enjoy your Mosin, it won't be your last!

I'm guessing the extra weight is packaging, but you never know.

Thanks for the insights guys. They arrived at my FFL today just before closing, so I didn't get much time to look them over before I had to go. They both ended up coming with their bayonets, and a few of the accessories, but no ammo pouches. No big deal. I'm certainly planning on getting more than these two, that's for sure. I can tell they're going to be addictive, just as McNally M. said. One is from 1924 and the other from 1934. Both are hex receivers with all the serials matching. I'm sure I'll be posting again with pictures once my interminable waiting period is over with.

Please post pictures Patagonicus. I'm eager to see the 1924. And something about hex receivers, I just love them. I wish more of my Mosins had hex receivers.
