Default to the guys who have built AR's

If I have a lower and lower parts kit, what's the approximate cost to finish the rifle? I know there's 1000 different ways to finish it off but your middle of the road Upper complete?

I have spent as little as $360 for an upper w/o BCG and as much as $1450 w/BCG. Oddly enough the were both LMT made.

Stock anywhere from $125 used to $250 new.

Add iron sights at around $125 GTG.

Good luck.

in this current market parts are kinda pricey
bcg-200-300
barrel 200-300
strip upper 120-180
misc parts barrel nut,gas tube, gas block,etc....100
handguars or quadrail and stock? depends
your better off buying complete upper from a fellow calguner whose not over charging an arm and a leg for about $500-700 and pick up a bcg then your gtg

You could backorder at some places and the best turnaround I've seen is a month. Personally I'd keep an eye on BCM because they don't do backorders and update their stock as they get it. The only problem you'll run into with them (aside from things selling out in minutes) is waiting for a BCG to come back in stock. It does though. Since the panic began I purchased one from them for my friend.

Good luck.

I've been debating whether to put together an AR. I have Saiga .223 and rather than drop1000-1200 bucks probably just gonna stick with my Saiga. I was just at Turners and they have Mega lowers 159. And lower parts kit for 90. And on one side my brain says buy buy buy but on the other I try and be practical and I think do I need it.

A couple weeks ago a relative of mines told me he wanted to get an AR type rifle. I told him it was a bad time because it's crazy now. He still wanted one. We went to three different LGS. The cheapest one was $1800, it was some off brand. I forgot what it was. I did some quick calculations and told him that if he is not in a rush we can probably get parts and assemble it for about $1500. This is what he has so far:
Delton lower- $315 otd
Commercial M4 stock kit- $80 shipped
cmmg lpk- $118 otd
Upper(no bcg/ch)- $600 otd
Matech buis- $65 shipped
Prince 50 BB- free(I have a couple extras so I gave hime one)
2 10/30 pmag- $30(have a few extras so I sold him 2 for what I paid)

Now just looking for a decent priced BCG, charging handle and some ammo then he is good to go.

The cost is whatever your chosen upper goes for, plus the stock/buffer tube stuff. Probably $550 if you go cheap cheap and can find the stuff.
