I've been griping at my family for literally decades: look inside the oven before you turn it on.

No guns or ammo in mine, but sometimes hot baking sheets go back in, since there's no place to leave one anywhere else in the kitchen.

I was immediately reminded of the mythbusters episode when I saw the headline. Turns out they were spot on.

As stupid as the whole thing is (hey let's put bullets in an oven this won't backfire in any way!) I'm kind of amazed a conceal carry permit allows magazines to be stored in an oven. That's kind of funny.

Well clearly it was an assault oven and needs to be banned. You may only cook using rotisserie now. It's for the children.

Well, the article didn't say if it was HIGH capacity oven or not.......

Wonder if they have laws about detachable mags and mag locks on assault ovens in FL?

This part made me laugh

"Gun and ammunition references indicate that the .45-caliber bullets commonly used in Glocks can explode at temperatures as low as 280 degrees ó or even lower if they've been exposed to heat for a long time, which can degrades the structure."

So there's a common round used in glocks? Maybe 45 GAP

If they were dumb enough to get into this sort of a situation then they're probably too stupid to own their own car; government/city resources for the win!

seriously, and somehow its always your fault when someone else forgets they are in there

and really, this is news? is the media going to just publish any story, no matter how stupid, as long as it makes guns and gun owners look bad or stupid.

So he had a magazine in his house. Why does it matter if he had a CCW or not?

But yeah... the oven?

Yes, actually, it is news. If your neighbor told you this story would you be interested? Would you tell other people? If the guy had stored a can of aerosol spray, like WD-40, in the oven and that exploded and caused injury wouldn't that be newsworthy?

They did something stupid. Extremely stupid. Stupid is newsworthy.

We need to limit the number of racks an assault oven can hold. Not only is this to save people from being shot by assault glock bullets but think of the children, the fat lazy coddled children. Please!

WHERES THE LOADED OVEN INDICATOR???????

Obviously that oven wasn't on the CA approved oven roster. The loaded oven indicator would have prevented this.

i don't understand, there making a big deal for nothing, even if the round went off, there is no barrel, no chamber, it would be like getting hit by an air soft.

i dropped a 22lr and it went off, hit me in the knee, felt like a slap.
