Default Best place to buy optics?

I'm in the market for a Nightforce F1. Any suggestions for a retailer to buy from? Does anyone know of any deals/coupon codes? Sportoptics appears to have a good rep around here, but I can't find any coupon codes for them. I also might be in the market for an ACOG. I'm not in a rush to buy the ACOG, but if I can get a good deal by buying the two together from one vendor I might do that. Thanks for any advice!

Edit: I went with 4scopes.com for the ACOG - good customer service and they had some great deals going on. I got a call from them after placing my order to ensure I wanted what I ordered since it was a less popular model. Not a lot of vendors would go out of their way to do this for you. Not the fastest delivery because they had to get it from their supplier and then send it to me, but about 10 days total isn't bad and they processed the order immediately.
I used Sportoptics for the Nightforce. Excellent customer service, seemed like good people and I recommend them to anyone in the market for a Nightforce. Shipped two hours after I ordered it, took a week because they had to use UPS ground and they're in Louisiana.

I don't shop at any single place. I shop around for the cheapest price. Here's some places I check:

Amazon.com
http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...?nodeId=508510

Poor Fish Outdoors
http://www.poorfish.com/?gclid=CL7So...FSSCQgodNgoAQw

Midway USA
http://www.midwayusa.com/

Cabelas
http://www.cabelas.com/

Bass Pro Shops
http://www.basspro.com/

Amazon is usually a good place to start, and should get you a competitive price. Then check around to see if anyone can beat it.

Opticsplanet.com. They're a vendor on here and frequently have coupons for CGN'ers.

Bruno's usually has pretty good pricing, you may have to call to see about having them order what you want.

www.brunoshooters.com

Bill Shehane also carries Nightforce, not sure about his pricing though.

If you have any time concerns of getting the scope, DO NOT use OpticsPlanet.

Their websites "check availability" feature is a outright LIE. They have no idea what is in stock or when they are going to get it.

Many people have been burned by this "feature".

If you don't mind waiting possibly a month or so, its a good place due to cost.

I generally like to look at primaryarms.com when it comes to optics. They carry the good stuff, and they also have their own in-house brand optics as well.

I got my 2 Nightforce scopes from Don's Longrange Supply. Excellent to deal with.

Not good prices imo

I thought Nightforce has control of the pricing their authorized retailers are allowed to sell at. A lot of coupons you will find do not apply to nightforce products.

That is correct. If a dealer is found selling under MAP, the dealers contract/account gets pulled and they no longer can purchase Nightforce at dealer pricing.

Samplelist.com is an offshoot of SWFA.com and has some great deals on demo and trade-in scopes.

I did a search here on CalGuns.net for OpticsPlanet and found mixed reviews. Some said great, others said terrible. Apparently there is no in between. My experience was terrible.

I placed an order and was charged. Then a few days later I received an e-mail stating I had been credited my original purchase price. The order was cancelled. No explanation why and no offer to substitute anything else. I tried calling but that was a wasted effort. So OpticsPlanet wasted my time and I will NOT be repeating that mistake. OpticsPlanet is now written in BOLD on my DO NOT BUY FROM list.

So a warning to anyone else looking for a good optics source... OpticsPlanet is NOT it.

Aloha

Depending on what you buy from Optic's Planet,I would not be too quick to
bash them. I have only bought LEUPOLD's from them, they were always
available, shipped quickly(paid on Friday got them next Thursday),and the
price was pretty close to what three other places had(when you ad ALL
fees, hidden charges etc by the others). Pete

Also remember that optics planet gives, usually, a 10% discount to us. When you get past a certain amount that discount looks nice.
