Default Uzi Flat Bending Jigs

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying an Uzi kit and a flat. I've been searching all over for someone that makes a jig to bend the flats.

Does anyone know of a source to locate these? Nobody i've talked to seems to have a source.

Thanks, John

You used to be able to buy per-bent Uzi receivers without trunnions in them.
Do they still sell those?

Everyone is out of them but there are flats available. It seems odd that people make and sell the flats but nobody seems to make the bending jig.

there are still some unweleded Group Industries receivers floating around. I bought mine from Vector Arms a few years ago, don't know if they still have any more. They did some machine work to bring the stamped receiver into spec for welding.

DandDsales sells new production ready-to-weld receivers for around $100.

both the D&D and GI receivers are considered firearms by ATF and must be 4473'd.

I do not know of anybody selling an unbent UZI receiver that isn't a firearm.

Im thinking about building an uzi too. Does anyone know where good kits are? also If I get a folding stock kit does it have to be fixed to an open position or can it be free to open and close. and what is the barrel length required?

One person has made an UZI bending jig but it was only for himself. The jig needs to be 2 parts. one for the front that is round and another for the part that is square. i have a few flats but have other projects ahead of them so I haven't started on the jig.

Oh yeah, I read somewhere that 80% uzi receivers need to go through a FFL. Not sure if that's true or not. You can try this store too.

Get the one from gunbroker. It's the best way. Kits are still available, sarco has them cheap and the quality is good.
