Default FFL won't deal with Californian - just griping

I was in a gun store in Pennsylvania and the owner would not:
- Recognize my FFL-03 because it had a CA address on it.
- Ship to any FFL in CA because he didn't want to go through the "DOJ registration and approval process."

Does Calguns have a one-sheet debunking document that we can give to these people (if they would read it)?

If you encounter that, tell them that they are doing exactly what the anti-gun people want them to do.

Bring this form with you next time:

Try this:
http://blog.crpa.org/?page_id=3374
Registration in the CFLC system takes literally a minute and the link is right there. Subsequent logins take a minute to generate the transaction number needed to send to CA. Do they not like money?

These links don't really debunk, but I have sent them to a few folks. After reading they realize how easy it is:

The files are nice, but one comment is that while all you need is the number, it is actually a good idea to get a copy of the letter since there is no other way to know what was claimed to be shipped.

In one case I received two rifles, but the letter only showed one. In another case, the FFL used my CFD number for the number of long guns shipped. Needless to say, in both cases it needed to be corrected. If the CA DOJ allowed you to see what was claimed to be shipped to you, then it would be a different story. Right now I could use the system to claim I shipped firearms to you and you would never know it until you were inspected, then you would have to explain what happened, which you would not be able to do.

Thanks All! I sent a copy of the CRPA letter along with a screenshot of the website. Let's hope for the best.
