Are we talking production knives or what? I could be wrong, but last time I checked MooreMaker did not "make" anything. They use to use Queen and Camillus back in the day.

Smith and Wesson pays somebody in China or elsewhere to make their stuff and it is some of the sorriest stuff out there.

If we are talking custom stuff too then I would have to respectfully submit Phil Hartsfield.

These guys are small but man they make some really nice slip joints

Can the list include multitools?

If so - Leatherman.

Yes lets include multi tools
If it is made in USA and can cut rope lets list the maker.

More Maker is very elusive. However the web site says made in Matador Texas. All the Knives in the catalog say this. Perhaps Texas is no longer part of the Union? We in Komifornia have not gotten the news yet

I've seen Anza's file knives on E Bay. Pretty cool.

The criteria was "made in America"; not the political leaning of the chief executive.

Also, my take is he's more pro-environment than anti-2A...

What is your criteria for the best?
Steel? They don't tell you what they use. High carbon tool steel is pretty vague.
Quality workmanship? It looks like they got that covered.

Don't know much about Randall, never used one.

You can make just about anything look good. The question of quality goes way beyond beauty. What material do they start with? For those prices, they should tell us on their website.
