Default So I gave in and bought a K31

This comes from Paul0660 (great seller) on this board.

All-matching from 1944, great condition with a walnut stock and has the soldier tag. I'm not sure where the sling comes from; any help would be appreciated in identifying it.

Wow, that's a nice looking one. How much did you pay for it, if you don't mind sharing the info? Thanks.

I bought it from Paul0660 for $215 shipped, including a gun sock.

That one looks way better than the 'handpicked' one I just got from AIM surplus this week. And mine cost a little more. Make sure to give us a range report.

You will NOT be disappointed with that swiss rifle. They are well built and fully capable of MOA accuracy

That was the main reason why I laid back and decided I was going to choose what I wanted. Too much variation buying a handpick.

K31s are fun to shoot. The triggers are terrific. And surplus ammo is very high quality. If you reload, it's even better. Get ready to win some vintage rifle matches.

There is NOTHING in the firearm world that can match the quality of the K31 for $200. I had seven at one point, and I can tell from the pictures that you got a really nice one.

Yeah, yours is real nice Peter. I'm surprised that you don't already have one. Anyway you'll enjoy it. I love mine, don't get to shoot it much, ammo prices and all. Oh, and the bolt, in spite of what every one else says is actually really fun and interesting to disassemble. I love looking at the inner workings of such a unique mechanism. It reminds me of Beethoven.

I LOVE THIS SHOT!!!

All you need is a Nazi soldier hopping the fence with a K98k in hand.

...not that the Swiss actually shot any Nazis.

K31 was always low on my priority list of collecting old and mainly WWII rifles. Now that I've zipped through that list buying about 10 rifles in less than a year, needless to say a K31 was an obvious choice!
