eBay and buymilsurp.com might carry it.

This may seem slightly random. And this thread is old. But since you own an SKS and were (are?) looking for a chinese stock. There's a guy on akfiles selling red fiberglass Chinese sks stocks. Might be cool to you. Might not.

What Moab said. A few months ago some folks here asked about replacement stocks for those blade bayonet early Chinese SKS rifles Century imported from Albania that are currently so popular.

I posted a reply mentioning the stocks on AKfiles - I think it is "Wolfsburg Bob" who has them. These have all the correct and near impossible to find hardware - the crossbolt, buttplate, and rear sling swivel on these are slightly different than on other SKS stocks.

These are waaaay better than some radically more incorrect stock like a Romanian or Yugo. And the stocks Clearview has are Romanian "grade 3", which means they are cracked, broken, or have other serious damage.

It is Wolfsburg Bob that has them. Only problem is they are red. But wouldn't it look cool if you painted it ATACS or some other camo?

I wonder how heavy they are though? Fiberglass is pretty heavy stuff.

No, no, no, NO paint.

These are good looking, original, vintage "jungle stocks", and they are supposed to look like that. Painting them would be like painting a $20 gold piece silver color so it would look like a silver dollar. Kind of like the California Democrat who won a gold medal in the Olympics and was so proud of it she had it bronzed. Trust me now and thank me later, just don't do it!

Or get 2, paint one, and later when you say to yourself "This was really a bad idea, why didn't I listen to Marcus, the High Priest and Chief Prophet of All That Is Military Surplus?", you will suddenly remember..."Wait, I DID listen to Marcus. I just happen to have an un-dicked with spare stock. Oh Happy Day!"

They are some kind of plastic composite and are a little heavier and sturdier than the more brownish colored fiberglass ones for the spike bayonet rifles. They do have some heft to them, but not unreasonable...noticably heavier than the very light weight wood stocks some of the later imported SKS rifles had.

I have an early (1959 as I recall) blade bayonet SKS that came from China in one of these stocks back in the 1980's. I really like it. These stocks are so way much cooler than any of that crappy, cheap, nasty looking, black plastic "tacky-fool" junk out there.

Make sure to get a matching handguard if Bob has them.

Here is a bad pic of what the red "plastic" stocks look like. They are pretty neat and not really much heavier.

Thanks for the info everyone, I was actually looking for a bare wood stock that I could refinish myself, the stock that came with my sks has a dark stain on it and was packed in axle grease I think, I have it cleaned up but I was hoping to get another bare stock and stain it slight yellow. I have some burgundy stain leftover from my AK so I might go that route.
