Default Holster help - S&w shield

fellow leo's,

picked up a s&w shield 9 after a long wait.

Looking for an appendix iwb holster, any recommendations?
Obviously comfort is what i am looking for, I just prefer appendix carry
at 1 Oclock.

I don't carry appendix but I love my SHTF gear holster, and I like crossbread. Not sure if they work for your style but they are great for iwb. They likely make the specific if need be.

I want a shield but can't find one. Let me know how it shoots!

I have the IWB and OWB/Avenger from McCabe's for my XDS. I know he offers both for the Shield.

Raven Concealment also has quick ship holsters for the Shield.

For IWB I use a Comp-Tac Infidel or a Remora. The new hybrid Infidel looks like it might be comfortable also.

Curios about the XDS. I'm looking for a new off duty. Shield is at the top of my list for now. I can only find an XDS though.

I have two holsters for my Shield. A Multi Holster IWB carbon fiber finish and McCabe leather IWB. Both are made and fit very well. However, the McCabe is too thin for my liking. I prefer the Multi Holster. Itís solid, fits great, and is comfortable to wear all day.

I love my Crossbreed holsters ans I have one for my Shield. Don't think it's a good choice for appendix carry though. My buddy at work appendix carries his in one of those Uncle Mike's IWB neoprene holsters.

+1 on the Comp-Tac Infidel. For OWB I use a Raven belt holster.

I have a co worker who uses PJ Kydex. I have shot with it and it is a solid piece of equipment. He has the under the belt model, inside the waist. No shifting and no problems. I will likely get one when I buy my shield or XDs.

With over 3 decade in law enforcement and on/off duty carry, I have, in my closet, a box full of unloved holsters. Now, 6 years into retirement, I've long since settled on two holsters. For IWB carry with my Glock 23/27, I wear a "Nate 2 squared" at 5 oclock.
At my age, I'm all about comfort.
Mostly, I carry an airweight S&W 37 with a Tyler T-Grip in a Remora IWB holster and two speed strips. I always carry appendix, but this holster will work well in the pocket. Save yourself from having to throw another holster into the "Box of unloved holsters" an get a Remora IWB

+1 for PJ holsters! I have a couple of them and they're great. The mag carriers are nice too, great retention and very low profile.
