Default Mega Arms Lowers @ Turners

Posted this on the "tripped mower" thread but no reply and thought this headline might grab ya

so just got a call that there was an "issue" with my order of two S&W stripped lowers. Apparently computer glitch of some sort resulted in only 1 being sent and now they are out of stock of S&W but they are going to switch out the "missing" one for a Mega Arms lower for same price.

I said Ok, and this being my first venture in to the world of the AR just wondering... "good trade?"

Not much I can do about it and figure they are both forged and both same price so I should be ok but curious to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Not sure how many Mega Arms they have in stock or if $159 is regular price but let's also consider this post a heads up that Turner's might have some Mega Arms stripped lowers while we're at it

I love Mega Arms. They are a "boutique" type manufacturer, small company but turn out some very high end awesome stuff.

Their forged lower should be about the same as any other. The anodizing might even be better, as I know the anodizing on their other lowers is top class.

Their billet lowers are absolutely a thing of beauty. Top notch IMO.

If turners has a Mega Billet Ambi lower please hit me up as I'm in the market for one.

Thanks, and enjoy!

Mega lowers are premium quality as others have noted. They also feature a tension screw, which is a nice plus. You'll be happy...

Good swap for a Mega!

I bought 1 for my fiancee in November for $109 on sale, normally $119, right before the panic buying.

I picked up my 2 Mega lowers from the Norwalk shop today. They were $159 each too.

mega is better than s&w. . .think of it like this. .. .

mega = buncha guys who normally make aircraft parts for boeing and the DOD and other aerospace mfgs. . working out of a family owned shop in the south part of the greater seattle/tacoma area.

s&w = bunch hourly union guys working in a big corporate factory who can't wait to punch the clock and get out cuz they are a publicly traded company that doesn't give a **** about them and just wants to make money.

now which lower would you prefer to have ?

My forged mega lower was one of the nicest I've had. Really clean engraving and really nice anodizing. Really well made. If I could, I would trade out every lower I have for mega.

Was at Pasadena turners this morning picking up my s&w lower. I asked the manager who was helping me if they had any more Mega lowers. He said everything is gone!!

I've learned the hard way...some just tell u what they think they know what's in stock or not...most of the time we know what they have in stock and they don't know until you get them too look it up like they should on the computer

New rule is 2 in 30. There were signs posted all over the store.
