Default Backlash Against Gun Grabbing? CT Turns A Bit Less Blue

It's unlikely that this good news will be reported elsewhere.

A GOP candidate for the Connecticut State Legislature's 53rd District about 70 miles northeast of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown won election on Tuesday, marking the first time the seat has gone to a Republican since Richard Nixon was president.

Republican Samuel Belsito defeated Democrat Anthony J. Horn by a 58.5%-41.5% margin, largely because his stances in support of citizens' Second Amendment rights and fiscal restraint were more convincing.

Hooray... hope this spreads around the country. We could use both conservative fiscal policies and 2a support here.

Wow, that's amazing.

What's that old phrase? "Silent Majority"

The Election was rigged. He can't win since 90% of Americans want more gun control.

Interestingly a democrat who opposed gun control and he loses in a democratic district .
One could surmise the Democratic Party has lost all credibility on being in support of 2a .
Least that's how I read this election .
A personal note of thanks for NRA GOA members, this victory was made possible because of you .

I refuse to get excited about anything in politics. The Republicans have until November 2014 to make the Democrats look good again and return the country to one-party rule under BHO.

Like it or not, gerrymandering is going to be the excuse for any Republican victories for the next decade. Might as well get used to it.

Yep. The Trayvon Martin trial should end next spring, and I predict some Republican somewhere will open their dumb mouth and make an overtly racist comment that seals the deal.

Another news item carefully omitted by the journ0listers who run the national news cartel. Thank God for sites like Newsbusters.
