How does PRG run its match? Is it done by squads or go at your own pace?

Open Squadding.
Your squad is free to jump from a open stage to open stage at your own pace.
Squad size varies from 2 to 10 though for efficiencies sake, 6 is an ideal number. Any smaller and you start feeling rushed.
Hope to see everyone there!

Thanks to all those that came out.
55 shooters came out to enjoy great stages and the great weather.
Hopefully everyone was able to make it to their Superbowl pre game party.

On a side note, the subject of IPSC/USPSA/action shooting etiquette needs to be addressed.

This applies to new shooters and experienced shooters.
If there are shooters on a stage you need to shoot, wait till the entire squad is done shooting before you start your stage walk thru. A stage walk thru should be no more than 5 minutes. If there is no one else waiting for the stage you are about to shoot, you may take a bit longer than 5 minutes. Use that time wisely to come up with your plan to shoot the stage.
The time it takes to run one shooter from the start of the timer till the stage is scored and reset should not take more than 5 minutes.
Once your squad is done with the stage, move on to the next stage you need to shoot.
You are more than welcome to come back to the stage after everyone else is done shooting to analyze how you could have shot the stage better than your original run.

Also, when EVERYONE helps reset a stage (tape, set steel, etc, etc), things move a bit quicker so everyone else can leave within a reasonable amount of time.

I shot, but with a seperate group of friends. If you mean the group of guys (about 10-12) shooters yelling and acting like a bunch of high school kids trying to get attention was real annoying. I was stuck behind them for a while.

This is something that needs to be brought up from time to time.
The etiquette side of things is never covered in a intro class. Especially when you have the freedom to move from one stage to another in no particular order. Thats the benefit of having a start time as early as 8:30a till as late as 10a. The majority of clubs have set start times. You're either there at the start time or you don't shoot.
There are pros and cons to both but we feel the pros out weight the cons.

It helps when the more experienced shooters explain the etiquette side of action shooting hence why I'm bringing it up.
