Default VIDEO: Maurice the FrankenRuger - mag feed and autoejection!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F4XtVldNbO4

Note the text below the video.

NEVAH BEEN DONE BEFOA!

The following stills don't yet show the hammer-mounted shell deflector or the newest upper stage loading gate:

I'll get some better pics up tomorrow, and better video when I can.

Wow, that's pretty neat!

Just brass-plate the thing and you have invented yourself a steampunk revolver.

Edit to add: yeah, that video is pretty blurry...

Question about the video/gun:

I noticed you started with the cylinder full and a magazine, then when both the cylinder and magazine were empty you added in a really long magazine.

How did you fill the cylinder? Is there a way to quickly refill the cylinder from the magazine?

Also: That 9rnd magazine looks a bit unwieldy. I can only imagine a 18 rounder for competition...

a Magazine with a turn at the end (like a PS90 or similar) would probably help with the unwieldiness a little.

Neat!

Hopefully Feinstein doesn't see this Assault Revolver and add it to her naughty list.

I have no way of pulling the rounds out the front like you do with a semi. I'm pushing rounds forward under spring pressure until they slide into empty chambers.

Now...I *am* considering a coil-tube mag, possibly up to 20rd capacity. But the 9rd mag I have now isn't actually unwieldy, and the 2rd carry mag isn't a problem in the holster as it's close to my body, doesn't "jut out" any.

I can stack the 9rd mag onto the 5rd cylinder and get 14 rounds continuous, no reload. And as far as I can tell that's still Cali legal as no ONE "ammo feeding device" exceeds 10rd.

Of course, I'm in Tucson now and headed to Alabama soon, sooo...doesn't matter much .
