My contribution. Hogue grip was put in before a combat pistol course as it helps with the grip slip I've been encountering when putting a lot of rounds downrange. I've been thinking about stippling but I rather like using the grip. I've handled the XD specific Hogue, didn't like the overall grip much.

Looks like you've got the same night sights I do, on the same gun. Only major difference is my NP3 treatment.

XD .40 Srvc, Pachmayr Tactical Grip, HarWell Holsters ProTuck IWB w/ speed grip cut. Comes in two flavors Remington 180gr. JHP or Federal 180gr. FMJ FN. That's a cheapo 150 lumen AIM Sports so I can read books in bed.

Side note: She snaps in that holster. It's quality leather and feels good on your skin. Also, it's hand made in America, U.S.A.. you can order them or save a little through them on Ebag

Default XD9 with Serpa Shoulder Rig

Got a Serpa shoulder rig in the mail today. Seems like my Ted Blocker leather is much more comfortable.

Maybe something a bit different. Just picked up an M3X LED to go with my XD45. Haven't seen anyone else with this light yet and only a couple others with the non-LED version. Doesn't seem that popular but so far I like it a lot and I know the TLR-1 is probably a better light (and cheaper, too) but there is something about the M3 series lights that I really like...

What do you guys think?

And another question for you XD'ers....are the edges of your magwell scuffed up easily from mag insertions? A week ago I was was trying to seat in a loaded mag and tried to slam it in while it was falling out and the mag was at a bad angle and I ended up putting a ding on the beveled portion of the inside of the magwell and I have been losing sleep over it ever since. Is this OCD?

Yet another XD40 4" Service...

Had this fella for only a week and absolutely LOVE IT!

Plan on installing some TruGlo's, and getting a heavier guide rod in the near future, but all in all, I'm pretty happy with it in stock form. Everything else is going toward mags and ammo.

love the gun. jammed twice before it was cleaned. was a dirty girl when i got her. was used. hate that it's GAP ammo and i knew very little about guns when i bought it. just wanted something to have in the house.

Well i got mine for about $425.00 at our local store, didnt really want to get another pistol but the handle of this gun for me is so ergonomic that its either this one on the H&K. But with the price difference i just settled for an XD. Now mine came as stock form with the case the mags and the cool holster kit. So i got a custom kydex 3 mag holster and a custom kydex tactical holster. custom slide cuts and lightened slide. Trigger job to shorten the slack. And a thumb rest. I just did a pre cut grip stop.

That's one bad *** XD! Did you wet sand that one or does it come like that? My brother in law wet sanded his barrel and the inner slide and it looked clean.

Like it a lot. Going to take some getting used to tho, I need to invest a little time.

Some people have complained that the slide doesn't hold back on an empty mag, was not an issue with mine. I had zero issues running 100 PMC through both the original mags & I've got some SA seven rounders coming in next week from Midway.

The grip is SUPER thin (which we all know), and I kept having to adjust my hold after every couple of rounds. I don't have small hands, so it made gripping it properly a lot tougher than I thought.

On the other hand, the kick is wayyy lighter than I was expecting. Overall I'm very happy with it, I just need to put in some more range time (which I haven't done lately).

Oh, and here's my crappy cell phone pic

That's an awesome looking little gun for sure. Glad yours is glitch free. I keep checking my phone hoping that VA is calling to tell me that they had one come in for me, lol!
