Default Turner's Ammo: Current Stock and Store Delivery Schedules (Please Post Here)

Hey All,

Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where members can post if they see ammo at their local Turner's whenever they visit.

Please lets us know the location, ammo type, and how much they might have on hand (or none at all). For example:

Date and Time 1/25/2012 ; 3:00 pm

Location: Norwalk

Ammo and Quantity:

.9mm: Magtech and Blazers: 50 round boxes. About 5 boxes each left. $14.99/box.

.40 & .45: Blazers. 50 round boxes. Many boxes left.

.380: Many boxes left

Plenty of odd ammo.

Thanks!

Delivery Schedules

He also said they are starting to save some ammo for purchasers of their guns so a certain amount of ammo can be bought when you pick up your gun. Makes sense to me, I'm on my 3rd .22 purchase from Turners in the last 3 months...

I saw some .223 there this morning. It was only 8 boxes or so left at $35 for 50 rnds. It was on the back side of the table near the Magtech .308 which also have tons of. $15 for 20 of those. I passed on both. Even with the shortage, prices are still better then Turner's when they pop online. They had some 12 gauge too, but again pretty pricey.

Thanks for catching that.

Date / Time: 1/28/2013, 7:30 pm.

Location: Norwalk

Ammo:

-9mm: About fifteen boxes of Tulamo 50 round boxes at $13.99 (about $0.30 per round)... About 15 sets of 350 rounds of Blazers Brass in dry box for $109.99 (@$14.99 per box of fifty, it comes out to about $0.32 per round + $5 for dry box)

-.40 & .45: Several boxes in Federals, Blazers and Black Hills.

-Plenty of shotgun ammo but didn't see any rifle ammo except for .30.

Good idea to call ahead and check stock. If you are nice, they may even set some aside for you.

Guy at Rancho says they stock up Wednesday morning opening time. Of course if you are in line during the weekday, maybe it's not a good idea to be in line buying ammo. What about work? Unless you don't work 9-5.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll update the first post with this info. As to buying the ammo on a weekday, if you got it good with the employees, they might hold the ammo for a while for you.

When I was at the Chino Hills location this past Friday they were stocking up on ammo with a line of people already in the morning. I asked one of the workers and they said that Friday is the usual day they stock on ammo.

Turners Fountain Valley received LAX 400 round cans of .40 and 9mm, WWB .40 and PMC .45. They still have Wolf 7.62*39. Sorry no prices posted but I heard that the 400 round relaods were running about $180 a can.

Just came back from Turner's in Torrance on Hawthorne Blvd. Lots of 30-06, wolf 7.62x39, 7.62.54r, and looks like they just freshly restocked a lot of boxes of PMC .45 ACP. Looks like all other pistol calibers were gone except for home defense loads. No .223

Turners in Torrance had PMC 45s... Not sure how many boxes, but is say at least 50. Had some Winchester 40.... And 500 rds of LAX ammo reload in 9mm and .40. IIRC the 9mm was $159 and the .40 was $179. This was around 1830....

I'm guessing there will be easily 150-200 people lined up at the Kearny Mesa store tomorrow, thanks to this post. Better get there at 8am if you want anything worth going for! Yes they do open at 10am.

Kearny Mesa has been letting people get up to 10 boxes of 20 rounds of rifle and it seems like 5 boxes of 50 rounds of handgun. Only one brick of .22 though.

Has anybody thought about how this thread may be endangering those who work at turners?

Just a thought...I know turners employees will never officially state when delivery day is, and thats for good reason. I know I wouldnt want people knowing when Im getting large deliveries of guns and ammo if I worked in a gun store. Especially if yourdeliveries are not during business hours.

Turners is a sponsor on this forum, I just wouldnt want to step on their toes since they support calguns.

With that said I dont think delivery schedule should be included in this thread, but updates when deliveries are made and whats in stock should be fine, lord knows I do that to try and help calgunners when I can.

Just my opinion...

Many of these schedules were from the employees themselves, though. I straight up asked when they get their deliveries and what time they stock it. They had no problem telling me...

Really??? Everytime I have ever seen someone ask a turners employee at pasadena or reseda the answer has been "we cannot disclose when that is due to security reasons"

If they really DONT care, and give out the info willingly, then by all means carry on.

This is what usually happens when someone is dumb enough to rob a gun store...

Was at Rancho today. Their delivery day is Thursday. Looks like they're getting in a couple of Colt, LMT, and S&W AR's that they can take pre-order for today. The manager said everything will be offloaded and out in the store by Thu afternoon or Fri morning.

xjdesertfox,

You bring up a very good point that I had never thought about. However, in this situation, KidSasqutch is correct when he says that all of this info is readily available from the employees. All one has to do is call and ask. So as long as they are ok with telling us, we might as well use this info to our advantage when shopping for ammo. I figure this serves as good fallback for those driving from Walmart to Walmart with no luck.

Good point. But Rancho stuck signs up on their door and windows stating ammo deliveries on Thu, so it's not a big secret.

I was hoping they'd get their gun/parts delivery on Wed per this post and because I was in the area today, but no such luck =(

Reseda: LAX .40 reloads, lots of factory .40 as well.

Not much else as far as ammo.

DPMS .308 upper, fixed carry handle. $899
Arsenal AK's $1700
