I ordered the light, two 18650 batteries and charger today as well. But it looks like the batteries are back ordered until after Chinese New Year. Hope there's an update soon.

So many happy customers... I should get a referral fee or something. Glad everyone likes the deal!

I was playing around with it last night and my wife kept wondering why I needed more flashlights. Now i kinda want to get some batteries and a charger too...

My wife use to wonder why I had so many flashlights too. She has one in her nightstand and thought that should be enough. Then one day we had a blackout that lasted a few days. When she got home it was dark & no power, she knew I put a flashlight in the diaper bag (which she also questioned). She used it to help get her in the house and then was able to grab a couple more flashlights for use around the house. Of course her one flashlight in her nightstand was dead. All of my flashlights worked. My neighbors on either side of my house didn't have flashlights either so we let them borrow a couple. She no longer questions my flashlight obsession and now at least carries a fenix e01 on her keychain (I got her the pink one).

Looks like a decent light. A few observations for the non-flashaholics among us.

Its long for what it does
The high mode only runs for 3 mins
The small reflector makes for an close area light vs a thrower
The runtime is short and the low isnt low enough, no moon beam mode (9 lumens vs .1 lumen moobbeam)
The voltage range is limited to NOT using 2 rcr123's
The first light setting to come on is burst (740 L) ( no way to make low come on first) destroying your night vision.
It has memory (not good if you dont remember the last mode you used).

For the size of light it is I would also look at the Eagletac

1030 lumens, same aprox size, comes in neutral white, much better throw, doesnt overheat and shut off, had an optional bigger head for even more throw, has a HUGE voltage range to run longer body tubes and more batteries.

I like the light. I think this is going to be my camping/backpacking light. Problemchild is correct as the throw isn't great, but it works great as a flood light. The PD32 is not the best tactical light due to needing to switch your grip to access the different buttons. I like that it has memory, because I most often use the low setting. That's one thing I don't like about my Klarus lights as they always come on at the high setting, then I have to switch to low.

Not a big fan of the eagletac, not because it's not a good light, but mainly because I really don't like flashlights with hidden modes. Also, it's $110.

Customer service from the folks at Shaologear is 2nd to none! I had almost begun to belive that people that cared about their customers were all gone. Had a question about my order and was answered promptly and offered a solution. No fuss, no hassle. In this modern era of big box stores, it sure is nice to find someone that actually cares...

Went on their website looking to see if my order is shipped or not. Believe it or not, their chat actually works. I chatted with Shawn for a bit and found out my order will go out tomorrow. Great customer service, and great prices too. Will definitely deal with them again if I see a product on their website that I wanted. Just want to pass the word along.

18650 equals rougly two CR123's. Batteries vary in size, so some will work and some will not.

So, if a light takes two CR123 you could use just one 18650 (if it fits back together)?

Hmm..

I take it that they do work in this light.

Thanks for the quick service!

Like I said, depends on the battery. Here is some good info to read up on.

Got mine yesterday. It's just a little bigger than the PT-2L but still carries nicely in my pocket. Nicely built, solid and easy to use. I like that it remembers the last setting. So far, I'm highly impressed.

I guess I didn't hit the site last time I received a thread update by email. I had no idea there had been so many posts on this thread since.

To set the record straight:

The light does have a memory. It remembers the last setting used. Sometimes this is good and sometimes it's bad. I tend to think it's good.

The turbo (740lm) mode will run for 3 minute bursts, but that's to save the light. The laws of thermodynamics and all.

All the Fenix lights that will accept an 18650 will also accept two CR123s and vice versa. There are some 18650s out there in the larger capacities that are slightly longer. Because of the compact Fenix design, this can cause issues.

The spot on this light is pretty loose. I imagine it was a trade off between keeping the light as short as possible and still maintaining plenty of fin space for cooling. The shallower the reflector, the less throw (distance) you tend to get. The newer PD32G2 (not as bright, maxes out at 340, and has a cool white tint) has a much tighter spot. it's also about 1/2" shorter. No fins needed. The tradeoff is in the output.

If anyone has any questions or just wants to chat, feel free to email me. If I'm not on the site, the chat window will just send me an email.

I forgot to mention Fenix is having some sort of issue getting batteries in to the country. I should have some more mid next week 2/25 - 3/1. It won't be the full complement I have on order, but hopefully enough to fill the last couple of orders waiting on batteries and enough to fill new orders as well.

I did get some TK75 kits that have batteries in them. So if anyone is really desperate to get their light, please email me. The downside is the batteries are not in their blister packaging but are definitely brand new.

I got my light, charger, and battery today. Charged up the battery and it works great. It's much smaller than my Surefires and puts out a lot more light. The wife asked what I bought and she said "Do you really need another flashlight"? lol Showed her how bright it was and she left me alone

So, I showed the light to my wife expecting the "do you really need another" response. Not only did she refrain from rolling her eyes at me, she asked why I hadn't ordered her one too. Placing another order...

I Just received my PD32UE today and ordered the TK75 kit. I needed a search light and for the money it looked too impressive to pass up.

The light is packed and will ship tomorrow (today).

I have one left in stock (despite the website saying I'm out) and will have more on Tuesday/Wednesday.
