Things are tight but I pledged another $25. I put down $75 on the last one.

Been blasting my Facebook and emailing all my 2A friends. Literally calling and checking to make sure everyone actually followed the link and donated, lol. Got another $150 cash donation + added another $50 in addition to my previous pledge of $200, so $400!

Still asking myself same question as first round. How come we are dealing w/only hundreds of contributors out of the millions of gun owners?

Thanks for all the help.

Let's hope all the lost gun owners show up tomorrow. We'll need their help and donations!

Just kicked in $100.

As far as the interviews, is there any reason that they haven't interviewed Suzanna Gratia Hupp? Its so rare to find an example of someone who suffered horrible loss that could have been prevented if she hadn't allowed herself to be disarmed (oh, and she lived to tell about it).

Just kicked in and doubled my previous amount in the first kickstarter. I really hope that we get more people to pitch in and help to get this done.

It Deserves a Vote! - T Minus 3 - Assaulted Kickstarter Update

Last night the president called for a vote on pending gun control legislation to rounds of applause. His emotional call to action is driven in part by the media’s push for more gun control. How much is this media push effecting opinions on gun control?

A Gallop poll asking, “Would you like to see gun laws in this country made more strict, less strict, or remain as they are?”, has been asked every year over the past twelve years. The results show that over the past year there have been some major opinion changes (see table below). The increases in “dissatisfied” and “no opinion” would suggest that the constant media attack on the 2nd Amendment is working. Other polls like CBS News Poll show even more support for stricter gun control laws including an assault weapons ban and magazine ban.

Now, I’m not going to argue about how these polls were conducted or the scientific credibility of them. I’m presenting them to show that unless films like ours are made, which will educate the general public on the history and importance of the 2nd Amendment, our elected officials will sacrifice our civil rights in the name public safety without even hesitating.

Your donation is a vote - a vote for upholding our civil rights. Give us the funds to finish this production and we will produce a film that will educate and change minds.

Double and match! http://kck.st/VZmXBM

Sincerely,

Kris

I just donated. I didn't donate much, because I don't have much, but every little bit helps. The beauty of Kickstarter is you get something for your pledge. Usually something worth more than what you donated, so both sides win.

I threw in a few bucks. Now I need to scrounge up a date for the movie. My wife still hasn't forgiven me for the little Sanctum movie incident.

Thanks.

If we do reach our goal, we've wasted 30-days and will have to start over delaying the completion of the film.

The best thing is to get everyone that participated last time along with the new backers and make the goal a reality.

Onward!

New Rewards Added!!!

We've had several requests to add additional reward levels, so we're responding with additional rewards levels, an add-on, and increased availability of the Associate Producer reward.

$150 - Challenge Dog Tag Package - although not listed due to Kickstarter editing restrictions, we will include a copy of the film on DVD with this reward.

$500 - All the Swag Package - receive all the swag for this pledge - hat, tee, BluRay, poster, DVD 6-pack, download and challenge dog tag.

$1,000 - added four more Associate Producers packages.

$2,500 - A day at the range with Chris Cheng, Top Shot season 4 winner. Help us film Chris and get some personal instruction. This reward is available only in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Travel and other expenses are NOT included. Dates to be determined.

We hope this encourages all of you to "Double and Match!"

Kris

So if we don't hit the goal the current donations arent billed and you start another kick starter for round two and push the date out?

If people aren't willing to donate now its going to be too late if I'm reading you right. There's no point in this coming out after the fact.

Hope I wrong.

You're right! We either hit $70k or we get nothing.

The last campaign rallied $30k the last three days and we're currently ahead of that progress curve! So, I have faith that we can make it this time, too

Regarding finishing the film - we will finish it one way or the other - with your help or not. I keep my promises and commitments.

Sincerely,

Kris

Just saw this post tonight, fired out some cash, and fired up my contacts. Here's to you busting your ***, sticking YOUR neck out there in getting the truth out! We are in a seemingly losing battle right now, a little cash is the least we can do. THANK YOU.

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.

We will win this battle, because if we don't, we'll lose the war and our civil rights.

I have a quick question.
If you get close but don't reach the goal why not anti up the rest?

I know I know, just had to put this out there please don't flame me and I will donate what I can on the 15th. (Check day)

Edit: DVD 6 pack looks good.

Hey Kris,

I'm looking to bump my $50 contribution up to $500. What kind of cost does the $500 reward take away from the project? PM if you want. I just want to make sure I'm not gimping you guys too much.

We've made sure that the rewards run 10-15% of the donation.

I'll keep a look out for the bump.

Thanks

St. Valentine Day Massacre - Kickstarter Update

On this day back in 1929, a gang war in Chicago resulted in the massacre of four reputed gang members and two of their accomplices in the infamous St. Valentine Day massacre. The fall out of this gangland slaughter was the 1934 National Firearms Act (NFA), which did not restrict the ownership of fully automatic weapons, the type used in the massacre, but created a tax evasion trap for such weapons and made ownership of popular guns like the Thompson machine gun cost prohibitive. This law was included in the Gun Control Act of 1968 and followed by the Firearm Owners Protection Act (more gun control veiled in a misleading title) that ensured only the most wealthy in our society can posses automatic weapons.

Today, as we sip champagne, nibble on chocolate and gaze into our lover’s eyes, we need to keep in mind how a murderous act by criminals 84-years ago today, resulted in only rich elitists being able to own machine guns in the name of public safety. Think of NFA as a St. Valentines Day card from your government that just “loves” to step on your civil rights.

You can express your love for the 2nd Amendment by doubling your donation or getting a friend to match your pledge making sure that this film gets completed. We’re closing in our goal but we’re not there yet. We need your support – today!

Double or match. http://kck.st/VZmXBM

With love,

Kris

The SSN is needed if you are also signing up for "Amazon Payments" so they can check your credit.
