Great!

Thanks for the input, really appreciate it. Will have to check it out then, won't know until I fire it. The current trigger feels great, but I may like the srt much more.

Will keep y'all updated on this experience with SIG.

Sigs aren't the guns they used to be thanks to the ceo that ruined Kimbers reputation but to make you feel better ,,I was at the range last year and a Guy had a brand new Glock not work after about 3 shots. I had to send a S@W revolver for warranty work ,,Stuff happens. There is a warranty. It is a pisser though.

Did he not clean it first and it malfunctioned, or something actually broke?

This thread just gives me the anti-warm fuzzies! I am about to pick-up my new Sig 226 in three days and I start reading ***** like this. What happened to all the Sig fan boys! Does anyone have love for their recent Sig 226 purchase?

don't get me wrong, but I love my SIG. It is a thing of pure beauty. I am sure that this particular one was just a fluke and that when it comes back to me, this shouldn't happen again. I purchased a SIG because of the glowing reviews people were giving it... their customer service has been nothing short of spectacular. Any thread like this will bring out the naysayers, replace p226 in the title with Glock and you'll have all the Glock haters rolling out in droves, im sure.

update us with a range report when you pick yours up, I'm sure you will love it.

Default Update

Received shipping notification from SIG CS. It'll be arriving Thursday. Total turnaround was less than a week.

While it was there, I decided to get the AEP and SRT installed. I've emailed them asking for something from the gunsmith stating what was wrong with my SIG. Hopefully they can get something together for me.

Original turnaround was 2-3 weeks, so I am very happy with the 7 day turnaround. All shipping pre-paid.

Good to hear man. I've had to deal with SIG customer service once and also received great service.

Let us know how she performs once you get her back and get a chance to take her to the range for a test drive.

+1 on the Sig SRT. Have a 9MM P226 Scorpion which came with one, and the reset is significantly shorter. I think it definitely improves your groupings, not just the speed of the follow up shot. I got one for my P226SS 9MM and was able to install it myself, and have one on backorder for my P220 Combat. The kits are about $50 on Midway (but usually on backorder). There is a great tutorial here on CG on how to install.

Here's a bit of heads-up: when FedEx delivered mine they allowed my son to sign for it. He was 12 yrs old at the time. When I called the FedEx center they stated it was because there wasn't "ADULT SIGNATURE REQUUIRED" on the box. I corrected the dumbass by informing her it did and the lettering was red and 2.5" tall.

So just saying, I wouldn't have been surprised if they had left it on my door step.

my p226 x5 had ftf problems while new. sig took it in and did a nice job to fix it, then threw a few nice goodies as well. I would say service was very satisfactory.

Pretty oddball. The trigger bar doesn't look cracked, it looks bent. Playing with mine for a bit, and it looks like while the trigger was all the way back, it somehow traveled in front of the hammer strut, then the hammer strut travel during slide cycling bent the whole thing forward.

What does your slide look like here?

Update on the thread:

My SIG came back all in one piece. I was out of town when it arrived, but luckily somebody was able to sign for it. They didn't include any extra goodies... but that's alright

Was able to take it out to the range today, it functioned flawlessly. No problems whatsoever, put 100 rounds through it.. considering the last time it didn't even last that long...

The action enhancement package was well done, made the trigger very smooth and crisp... almost too crisp! The SRT is amazing, but really only noticed it for quick firing, which I think is normal.

I've attached a few pics, received Cabela's Spring Catalog today in the mail so used it as a backdrop

And just for fun:
