Talking My US Mil surplus

The Kimber on the bottom isn't C&R but it is Mil surplus.

Nice rifles.

Wiith that tiny scope, the Kimber 82 looks kind of like a chopped '51 Merc.

Yep, I gotta work on that. Had to prioritize the carbine over a scope for now. I keep on hoping to find the original peep sights for something less than an arm and a leg; maybe just a couple of fingers or toes.
Maybe for Christmas

Nice rifles!

I used to have a very nice HRA Garand. I had to sell it for lunch money when I was in college. Still regret it.

Hey there partner, it seems like you have one to many (surplus) garands there my friend.

I will gladly alleviate you of this problem and provide you some funds towards an M-14, AR-15, KRAG, Government, Spencer carbine, Springfield musket, or ol brown bess, though on those latter two you would have to sell your whole collection to get a decent one.

Oh, might I suggest a 1911 if you are doing the WWII thing? I would also suggest and auto ordinance but that little nob of wood will get you into trouble.

Actually, I need to get one more Garand! Son #3 was just born last week. Gotta get at least one per kid.

That is the right altitude. Later they will thank you. I ran out of money when I discovered woman as a teenager and so no more historic rifles were bought. I bought historic moments, and no kids were made luckily...hehe

Good to know. A nicely sportered M1917 that I inherited from my grandfather was my first gun; I later got a mil-spec version for my collection. Great rifle.

The chopped look is over. Sights arrived today, range trip to zero them on Friday!

Also filled up another 10 en blocs today so the M1's will come to play as well

Man, I am an idiot for not jumping on those cheap Kimber's when the CMP had them!
