Default Would you sell an IOR 1.5-8x to buy Vortex HD II 1-6x?

I really like the IOR but all of the local matches are really short range and the 1.5 is a bit annoying.

Thoughts?

You talking 100 yards or less? We usually go out to 350-400 yards down here and I find that the Trijicon 1-4 is more than adequate. It also has amazing eye relief. The pinpoint reticule takes a little getting used to so I have my trajectory chart on the buttstock.

Keep using the IOR 1.5x. Else your stage time will halve and make us all look super slow.

Is the Razor reticle truly visible under the noon sun? If not, move on.
In daylight, the Trijicon Accupoint reticule is as bright as an Aimpoint. Personally I am waiting for Trijicon to release an Accupoint 1-6x with BDC or MIL reticle.

BTW, in the Vortex catalog, Jerry Miculek uses an Open rifle. scope+reflex sight setup.

I've just got mine on a QD mount.

50 yards or less. For the monthly match. 1-2 matches per year with a 300+ yard shot.

Dude... I sold my Elcan to get a pair of Bushnell 6500 elite 1.2-8. And ADI mounts for each. Never looked back.

And the Vortex, at 1x is not a true flat image... there's some wacky depth difference that will tax your brain and eyes slow you down.
