Damn making me uneasy abou waiting this long... Reviews are hit or miss.... Don't mind waiting if its quality, but damn they have had my money since jan and I might not get it till end of April and it sounds like QC is shoddy... Sucks with lowers becoming plentiful and cheaper... But I feel like I am pot committed at this point. Might as well stick it out... How is their customer service in regards to returns/exchanges if a product isn't up to snuff? I don't mind paying more money if the product is as advertised... I hate paying a premium and not getting what you pay for... That's why you pay the premium.

I ordered my JD lower and upper in the beginning of January and have not heard a thing. I have emailed twice and called; no response or answer. My coworker ordered his upper two weeks after me and has already received his. Don't know what's going on but hope it's worth the wait.

They were just at my local gun show. I asked them what their lead times were on lowers and they said 8 weeks. I almost ordered but didn't bother. If the guys were being kinda dicky I probably would have.

I ordered and paid for on 2/1 in person, I'll start calling soon.

Was told up front 12 weeks, so no complaints here!

I hope they aren't compromising quality for production sake. My order was 1/16 JD no fill, I'll update everyone when I get the lower.

It's been a long wait.... Just picked up both lowers I got. One was a Mega ordered in early Feb and the other was a JDMTI ordered in December. The JD has a slightly better finish than the Mega, but both look great. I assembled the lower without an issue. It looks great!

Well, that certainly answers my question. Won't be doing business with JD again until they at least get bought out by another company.

They were starting to produce substandard lowers before the panic. I can only imagine their piss poor quality now.

JD emailed me back about my cancelled order and said my refund to my credit card will take 2-3 weeks. Really? Even refunds are taking that long?

I had the same response 2 weeks ago-- when I ordered it was 8 weeks (ok-cool, I can deal with that) , now it's up to 16 weeks?! What, next they are going to tell me 32?

I ordered in Jan and I will prob get it at the end of the month. I'll post up if the finish is sub par. Either way, I don't have a doubt that JD Machine will make things right if I have an issue.

I ordered online and drove down to SD to fill out the paperwork. The place was crazy busy and they had a stack of papers that were all orders.

For the rest of you that are crying about the wait, please cancel your orders if the lead time is too long, I can respect that. Plus it moves my pickup date closer It sounds like they will give a full refund, even though it might take a couple weeks. If you don't have to have a lower from JD Machine, shop around and see it you can find another before your order is filled. If you do and you don't want 2 lowers, cancel your order with JD Machine. Lowers are not that difficult to find anymore.

When I went by there last week, it was like crazy busy. No matter the leadtime, orders just keep coming in. The lady answering the phones looked completely overwhelmed.

If anyone does need lowers, I can help. (not trying to threadjack).

I just purchased two matching .308 upper and lowers from there last Friday. They told me 4-5 month wait, no problem with me. At the same time a guy was picking up his .308 set at that time, just got the call that day after a 4 month wait. Just going to take some time.

I just put my lower in jail with an FFL who ordered 12 back in mid December. He received 6 from FedEx last Friday... and is still waiting on the other 6.

My FFl told me that when he talked to JD last, they were being held up on supply of 80% lowers. As they come in from the supplier, they fill orders the best they can.

Really? So they just take 80% turn them to 100% then engrave and anodize?

Hmmm maybe I should just cancel my order and get it from somewhere else.

I think they all (or at least most of them) do. There aren't too many suppliers of stripped lowers that forge/ machine their own 80%. They get the block, do final machining, engraving, add a serial number, & anodize them. Then either use them to build their own line of complete rifles, complete lowers, or sell as a stripped lower to those who don't want to mess with jigs & drill presses.

Did they state whether that 1/10 date was for online or in-person orders?

I suspect it was in-person since I ordered on-line prior to that date and haven't heard squat.
