Default Lancer carbon fiber Handguard unboxing thanks for waisting my time MIDWAY USA

Good old larry needs to stop rubbing his guns and teach his employs to pack products ..

Good thing I paid extra to have it next day aired since I had to cut off the barrel nut on my larue to get the hand guard off good thing I have a deposit on a hotel and Tactical Shooting class this weekend which i will now not be able to attend due to crappy service.. THANK LARRY POTTERFIELD FOR LOSING MY BUISNESS..

Haha nice unboxing video. Same thing happened to another member here a few days ago when he got his order in from PSA. He ordered a LPK and they sent him a buffer tube. I hope they fix this for you bro.

You tried to swap gear out a couple days before a class? That is never a good idea to begin with.

Sorry to hear that!

It always pays to have a backup gun. I have learned that even a gun that has worked perfectly for the past 1000 rounds can go belly up on you in the middle of a once-in-a-lifetime class or trip.

Here's food for thought. Imagine you were in the middle of a real-life situation and your one and only rifle craps the bed on you. A back-up gun is worth the cost because it will save you money, opportunity, and maybe someday it might save your life.

While it sucks that your 15" handguard came in a 4" box. The other part is all your fault and can't be blamed on Midway.

Agreed. Sounds like you started the work before you had received all the parts.

Sure its not 1 of 2 packages?

PS: That rail weights more or the same as some aluminum ones at the same length and it cost a bit more as well. The rails aren't even included in that price!

Nice.

Great video. It made me laugh and I too have fell victim to this same mistake from Midway.

I got a package from brownells last week and instead of a $200 bipod I got a box of 7mm Sierra game king bullets. I called them up and they were kind enough to over night the correct item to me for free and told me to ship the bullets back whichever way was most convenient for me and said they would pay me back for the shipping charges. Too bad I got sick and couldn't shoot the match I was going to attend on Sunday anyway.

Contacted midway today i have to pay to return 1-3 days to process, once they receive it back the will refund all cost but i cant next day air it back to them can only be ground shipping which is about 5 day's. The refund to back can take up too 1-30 days...LOL looks like everyone will be recieving a 4 inch rail lol..

Lesson Learned I will Keep My buisness Local I'd rather order from a local mom and pop shop that can actually put hands and eyes on item before they ship paying a little extra doesn't bother me hell missing an hour of work cost me 40 extra bucks anyway's

Your problem was lack of planning.

Would you red label parts for your boss's racecar, assume they will show up on time, correct, and undamaged; and upon seeing *any* cardboard box arrive on the brown truck, go disassemble the racecar and destroy the part you want to replace because the new one is "in the box". Of course not.

Back to whining about how "It's all Midway's fault, I had no hand in the poor decision making."

Reminds me of the time I bought a super sniper 10x from SWFA and they backordered me by a month (they put Ebay purchases on the back burner to website and phone orders, ebay will list them as having X number when they have none). When I finally got the thing it was minus the butler creek flip ups that it was supposed to come with but I didn't give a ****, just turned around and sold it.

Few weeks later I get an SWFA box in the mail with 40-50 butler creek flip ups in it, all the same size. Called them up, they laughed about it and promised to credit my card for the return shipping but they never did. It was only 12$, no biggie, but the whole episode made me *really* question SWFA's status as being this awesome optics store...

Sometimes you have to wonder what the hell is going on with these places...

Yeap OP just learned a valuable lesson. Never, ever screw around with your rifle, ammunition or optics prior to a class or hunt.

I had only one issue where midway screwed up. They ended up giving me the part I ordered and let me keep the one I received. Their customer service is great. I'm sure they'll take care of you.
