I'm glad I bought when it was cheap ($.35).

It's funny they still have a 5 day delay notice up. What's the delay in shipping/processing when they have zero stock?

Well, you can still get the 1000 rd. box of 45 gr frangible Winchester for $600.

http://www.sgammo.com/product/winche...-ammo-usa556jf

...wait...disregard. : (

There's still cheaper then gold with 45 gr. Lake City at $25 for 20 rounds.

$700 for a case of 556?I can't wait for these peoples credit cards bills to start rolling in, this is not sustainable.

I agree- it's crazy and I'm not sure where this is headed. All I know is that I will buy selectively-- as someone else here said, .70 a round (for mil spec M855 green tip; not .223, which is generally cheaper) is better than $1 + a round (which I have seen-- eg. the CTD link above is an example)-- especially for the good stuff. IMHO, I think the days of .35 5.56 are gone forever. Also, the unpredictability of the California legislature could also effect ammo availability here (ie. online sales, ammo limits, etc.). Ammo supplies may start getting back to normal and prices may dip (who knows when that will happen tho), but shooting has unfortunately now turned into a "rich man's sport". Get used to it boys and girls.

I paid 9.99/bx last week from cabelas, it has a little high but not SUPER bad. .70-1.00 a round is pretty damn high.
