Default Very unique 1911 .22 conversion

I came across this video while doing a search for Marvel conversions. Has anyone seen this before and does anyone know anything further about the machinist who built this conversion and if it's being sold?

Pretty cool.

Never heard of it, at the end of the video it says hes looking for someone to license it and manufacture it. So I doubt it has been picked up yet. Hopefully someone will...

That is awesome. It sounds like hes using some sort of gas piston system to get the slide to cycle with a stock 1911 spring. If that is reliable I would buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm thinking more that the barrel acts as a tappet against the slide. I didn't see anything of a gas system, only a modified barrel and chamber.
