I was there on Friday and their cases were emmmmmpty. Thank God I bought my CZ SP-01 before all this crap. Problem now is I cannot find any ammo. All they had was .45 and 7.62x51.

I picked up an AR-15 lower. They actually had them in stock but I noticed they didnt have any advertised. My co-worker and brother got one too. A S&W stripped lower. $159.00. They also were taking orders on Franklin Armory lowers but they were pricey @ $280.00 (they were $220.00 in December). Sucks that instead of walking in and buying actual rifles... I get to walk in and buy rifle parts =(

Was at Turner's picking up my SKS yesterday. I've never seen their handgun case so empty before. The case I was standing in front of had 2 XD's and a Glock 22. I saw 4 people turning in their HSC tests that they just took, and the couple that just passed their HSC bought the lone Glock in the case.

Thanks Mission, saves me a trip. I was looking to pick up a 10/22 Takedown and possibly a Mossberg 464 (or maybe a Marlin 336) as well as some ammo but if pickings are spare, I'll wait more towards the end of the year and see what's panned out.

Luckily I have some ammo set aside, unfortunately I won't be able to shoot as much as I want until things calm down.

Yea, I was at Bain & Davis in San Gabriel and I have never seen their display cases so bare. All that was left was a couple SIG 1911, 1 glock, 1 HK and shotguns. Its crazy out there.

I took my wife to Sacramento Black Rifle after we had lunch today and they had a S&W M&P 9 that she liked the feel of (shot my dads a couple weeks ago) better than both the Glock and XD, so she took the test and bought it. Our first. I am looking at the SA XD 40 for myself.

Plenty of handguns in all makes and models up here in the south bay. Just jailed a brand new G26 for under 500 OTD.

I wasn't all for the 'panic buying' but after seeing how NY proposed the 7 round limit, I now see its validity. If that passes, the majority of handguns that we're able to purchased here in CA, which is already crippled, won't even be an option in NY. The fact that Feinstein represents our state, anything's possible.

I had been looking all fall at various semis. Wish I would have "pulled the trigger." Now I think I'll wait until next summer. Doubt any law will change until the first of next year (hoping anyway). But if it's a seven round mag that means it'll be a .45.

My LGS, a major Glock vendor, is virtually sold out of everything. They don't know when they will be getting resupplied.
Oddly, prices seem stable, even here. Wonder if that is going to last.

All that was left in Turners in Torrance was 12gauges and 22LRs.

You're in Watsonville? That's strange, everyone up here in the San Jose area has tons of Glocks (plus every other make) of all models.

Well, not a whole lot of venues for buying guns in this little worker's paradise.
Oh wait, none of them actually seem to work.
But i digress.
No, the gun cases at Markley's are becoming quite sparse.

Riflegear had quit a few pistols when I jailed my M&P the other day. Last time I checked which was 2 days ago they were showing H&K in stock .40 and 9mm, Sigs, CZ in 45 and Glocks.

The display cases have looked like that since last year. What I think is happening is that Turners seems to be holding back more stock in their warehouse, so they can distribute it as items are sold. That's how my last recent purchase appeared to work.

People around here are probably tired of this photo, but I am glad that I bought this one in 2005 (many upgrades since then). I have roughly 30,000 rounds through it, although it now runs with a 9mm barrel 99.9% of the time. If it fits your hands well, you can't go wrong with an XD.

Picked up my Gen 3 G19 yesterday (paid $550 in San Jose). Waiting for another set of XS Big Dot sights and extended mag release to show up. Ghost 3.5 lb connector came today.

I bought 2 XD9's about 2 weeks ago, 1 for each kid. The price was $530.00 plus tax and DROS and these were the last 2 the dealer had in stock.
I figured I would buy them now at a reasonable price while I could. Once the new stock comes in, I expect prices too go up. I also expect supply too be tight for many months or more.
Once again, BHO has opened his mouth and gun sales are soaring. You think anyone in politics will ever figure this out?

I was just in Turner's Norwalk a few hours ago. The handgun cabinets looked pretty empty. There were a few revolvers and pistols there. All the handgun ammo was gone except some .40 and .45.

A run on handguns (I just love it, thanks Mister O)

Since I have more handguns already than I can fit on my LTC, I'll sit politely on the sideline, and welcome the first-time gun buyers join our gun-owner brother (and sister) hood.

Hopefully, the new gun owners will, if needed, seek good training and devote quality time to practice, and will treat their new pieces with the respect that they deserve.

I guess a lot of it depends on where you are. I was in the Cabela's in Grand Junction CO last week and they had all the handguns and rifles you could want. They also had plenty of ammo to feed them.

The things that were missing were magazines. The whole gondola that holds their magazines was pretty much empty. I ;think that they had about 10-12 magazines total in stock.

I've been visiting Martin B Retting regularly to pick up ammo since the craziness. First their semi-auto rifle case went from full to completely empty, then the handguns started disappearing. People are starting to buy up their old antique military rifles. Pretty soon it will be the muskets
