Default Looking for an FFL in Central Los Angeles that can handle out of state AR lower sale

Hey all,

a buddy of mine that lives in CT. has a multi-caliber AR-15 lower he wants to sell me and that I want to buy to build into a left handed AR/M4 variant. So I'm looking for a reputable and honorable FFL that can handle the transaction, if it can even be done.

He is an FFL in his own state and is concerned that if I don't go to an honorable one, they might tell me the lower never arrived and then try to flip it for 3x the price to someone else, etc.

Though I'm willing to drive a far distance if need be, to make sure I can get an FFL that will honor the transaction. Considering the current political climate, I'm also willing to pay a little extra for the transaction too, to help guarantee the transfer and for their time and trouble.

I'm right in the middle of Los Angeles near the LACMA and Peterson's Automotive museum. But will go wherever that has the most "honorable" rep for lack of a better term.

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers!

I doubt that any FFL would risk their license do what you and your friend are worried about.

That being said, while they are maybe not the closest to you these are 2 highly trusted shops that are black rifle friendly:
Ammo Brothers ammobros.com 15979 S. Piuma Avenue, Cerritos, CA 90703
Rifle Gear RifleGear.com, 18065 Mount Shay Street, Fountain Valley, CA

BTW Look at the flow charts that are on every page in the blue banner under the ads.
Make sure the lower is not "banned by name"

I'm in Culver, but I drive to Simi and use Fort Courage Armory.
It's worth the trip, standup guy, no BS, fair price and no regrets.
There's also a The Hat nearby, and some solid BBQ at Green Acres Market.

Good luck.

Make sure it's not a listed lower. Fort Courage or EBR Works, they are both worth the drive.

Default LA FFL

There's lots of them in Gunbroker to choose from.
Some do the transfer at different prices but take a look there.

I doubt they will accept a non-bullet-button lower.
Then there are the long lines, slow service and expensive out-of-state transfer fees to deal with.
Otherwise, they are fine.

Turners sells stripped lowers now a days so I don't think that would be an issue.

But the 3 Turners near me do not accept out of state transfers. So I'm not sure any of them do...
