I was thinking more like bacon and eggs and home fries and country gravy. (Mmmmm - bacon ...)

Maybe the Waffle Shop on Watt, almost right on the corner of Orange Grove. I'll check it out soon, to see if it's good.

Would people rather have these National Holiday Shoots in the evenings, so people who work holidays could come?

If so, do we think ranges will be swamped on the evenings of National Holidays?

I was thinking mornings, so we could be standing at the door when they open...

Doesn't really matter to me, since I usually try to get out of town on 3 day weekends, work permitting.

I'd be up for breakfast and a range trip on the 18th.

OK, so we're on for 9 am, the morning of the 18th. Breakfast is still up in the air.

Will everyone who plans to attend PM me, so I can publish a list? I'd like to be able to tell the Gun Range folks how many I expect.

How much of an issue is the current ammo shortage? I was at The Gun Range today, and they had a limited supply of several kinds of ammo for sale, for range use only. So maybe they can cover anyone who's short.

Them being finicky about what ammunition is used only makes the shortage worse. I understand why because PHYSICS but their guidance on their site seems slim. Perhaps that's because I always had someone give me my ammunition so I never really had to think about it.

Here's a link to the range rules for The Gun Range http://thegunrange.biz/the-gun-range-shooting-rules/

There are no new rules I can see. I think Lex is referring to the 'no steel' rule. TGN has never allowed steel there, as far as I know.

Sacramento Calgunners,

It's here, it's tomorrow! Clean your guns and get a good night's sleep! I'll see you Monday, 9 am, at the Gun Range.

BonnieB...Do you know if there are ever any Calgun shoots closer to the Santa Cruz area?? I'd love to get to Sac every now and then to meet folks, but it's a bit far to go every month.

Poms, there's a Second Saturday shoot in the San Jose area, here's the link. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=379875

There are shoots from time to time at Chabot in the Berkeley Hills, check the contributor's forum and also check the NorCal Forum for casual shoots.

The President's Day Shoot went really well. We start early on national holidays, before the other shooters can get out of the rack and on the range (and on the waiting list....

A few of us got there at 9:00 and went right into the back room. The Gun Range is really good about placing us together if they possibly can. Pretty much had it to ourselves. Right after I arrived, the waiting list stacked up.

There are no more national holidays until Memorial Day, so I'm thinking of a middle of the month evening shoot, maybe "Third Thursdays"?

What do folks think?

I just like meets! Even food meets! Doesn't have to be a specific holiday, but weekends are generally better for shooting.

Mid month weeknight shoot could include an early dinner at Sam's Hoffbrau, for instance. Dinner at 5, shoot at 6?
