Default Customer pulled a gun at my store

This all happened on my day off this is how I was told it happened

So at my store one of my coworkers asked the customer for their id to pull up their account, he apeared intoxicated in some way, he then said "I don't have my id but I have this" the pulled out a hand gun and pointed it at her. Never demanded anything just stood there. Another coworker then goes into the back and informs the managers and calls the police, the manager goes out and told him he has to leave, th girl with him stayed and conducted her business. When the cops showed up he was standing outside the store. After the cops talk to him the found out he had a valid ccw and let him go, the did not so much as confiscate a weapon that was obviously used against its intent. All they told my manager was they were going to see if they could get his permit revoked.

This was in San juaquine county, I'm pretty sure he should have been arrested, at least had the gun taken away

I would call the sherriff, or who ever approves permits in that area, and let them know about this and supply the tape. There is no justification for someone like this to have a CCW if he is going to act in that manner. Just gives the honest CCW'ers a bad image, the last thing we need.

Maybe he was "known" to the responding officers. A trip to the local PD with a copy of the tape and some questions might be in order, if you are inclined to pursue it.

I would imagine that having a CCW would not make it legal to brandish for no reason. I'd file a report and submit the tape to the proper authorities.

That's still illegal whether he has a CCW or not. Idiots like that are going to make it so nobody can get a CCW.

Why would cops let a guy go who just stuck a gun in someones face? CCW or not????

Something is weird.

Strange, so he doesn't have his ID but had his CCW permit on him?

Likely to be a fake story, given that the first thing a cop ask is to see some ID. No ID = possibly stolen/misacquired CCW and gun, then the fact he still had the gun and possibly intoxicated = police liability. The day when the cops would drive you home when drunk are long behind us. Now in the wake of the event leaving a guy with a gun while know to be brandishing it seems nearly impossible.

Yes you saw the tape but then again I've seen tapes with Bigfoot. Either way turn the tape into the LEO if this is a true story.

Misspelling the name of the county where the OP claims to be employed works against his or her credibility.

Ok, so you have 3 eyewitness's to this incident. You should have placed him under citizens arrest if the Police didn't want to do anything. By the way, the Police really hate that.

Doesn't sound right. Drinking with a CCW and armed will get you in lots of trouble and your CCW pulled. Any officer hearing this story would safe the weapon and take it to the station with the perp in handcuffs.

OP has been online today to post on a different thread , but doesn't bother commenting on his own. Smells more like a BS story everyday. Sounds like someone needs attention ?

Sounds like he was "connected".

Had he done that in my place of business, he'd have been blown away.

ETA: Unless, of course, he was a gun store owner, and only at "low ready".
