Default Gift from Dad

My dad surprised me tonight while visiting with a gift. Bought his Colt King

Cobra a long time ago and never had a chance to use it. I think he forgot he

actually had it as he sold his Heckler & Koch P7 to my uncle years ago, too...

Not sure if I have to do any "official paperwork"..

Attachment 210375

Need a better camera, crappy pics..

Nice!

Are you both residents of CA?
If so do an OPLAW http://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/pd...orms/oplaw.pdf
Cost 19 bucks per.

Yes, both of us residents of CA.

Now, the local gun store manager had told me that this Colt King Cobra is "off roster".

Thanx for the link..

Roster does not come into play for an OPLAW transfer. Just send it in with the fee and you are good to go.

Good to know.

I'm about to have a little conversation with dear old dad. He has more handguns at his place. And he has been thinking about selling most of them. he thinks he is too old to still own them...

1. Browning Hi-Power 9mm
2. Ruger Redhawk Hunter .44 Magnum
3. Colt 1911 (he got off a trade with a Marine while he was working in Vietnam)

Family discount is a must!!!

Nice gift, I should get my dad into guns so he can give me a nice gift later on...

Wonder if the Colt 1911 has some interesting history?

You're lucky to have a Father in your life with the bonus that he loves guns too.
