Default Who actually has powder and primers in stock?

Most online retailers are out of stock on common primers and my three powders (titegroup, clays, varget). Are there any good sources at the moment?

powder valley still has some primers, good luck on the powder though. Maybe its time to start experimenting with other powders, but since it only makes sense to buy in bulk online you may end up getting stuck with a useless powder.

not too sure if everyone is going to give up their secret spots on here especially with the times now. Just bought 4lbs W231, 4000 spp and lpp and 3000 45 200rg RN and they still have much more in stock. Where abouts do you live?

Just bought powder and primers today at Phillips Wholesale in Covina. He had several pallets outside with powder, primers, etc that hadn't been unload/inventoried yet to boot. Might try them if you are in So Cal.

Default Primers & Powder

I've been going up to Covina for my supplies at Phillips Wholesale. Call ahead and Rick will set it aside for you the day your driving up. Pretty good deal if you buy bulk, more than pays for the ride up.

I'd try LGS that sell reloading supplies. I'm picking up 8lbs of Varget today but I'm paying a premium for it. I suppose it's somewhat bearable since I'm not paying shipping or hazmat.

I live in Santa Monica, and have bought at Angeles. I'd buy in bulk online, but now I can't find what I need. I'll think about Covina.

The grandson and I bought 1000 Winchester 209's yesterday for $35.00 out the door, 1 Lb Bottles of Unique for $25.00 each. Bought 2 of them and with the grandson having already loading 101 Boxes of Winchester AA's {12 GA} and 88 Boxes of Remington Gun Clubs {20 GA} and 2000 .357's....however, the little guy is down to 485 22 LR and I told him that we aren't paying $39.00 + 7.75% for 22 LR's {500}. Appears we will be shooting the shotguns for awhile till Turners' Big 5 and others get the 22's back on the shelves. Its not the end of the world but he likes his Henry Repeater but tomorrow after "high noon"...he gets his new 20 GA shotgun so I think Grandpa and him will be
having fun without the 22's. Happy New Year to all CalGun shooters/wannabee's...

The problem with Angeles is some of the prices are almost double than what you can get online.

not quite double. Primers are about $26-$30/1000 online. and $31-$34/1000 at Angeles. Considering you don't have to pay for shipping or hazmat, it's really not so bad.

Speaking of Phillip's, does anyone know if he carries bulk projectiles?

Some of the powders and primers (BR-4 specifically) are very close to double. It's super convenient when you need something last minute though.

I paid $31/k for CCI LRP at Angeles a week or so ago. Totally fair. I don't know about the powder though, I haven't asked. Last I heard they were only letting you buy 1 or 2 pounds at a time. Guess its better than nothing.

Rifle not so much that I've seen, pistol he has some lead in 500 count boxes. Give him a call, he's open until 6 Thursday through Saturday.

If someone is looking for Tightgroup I left one 8lb jug behind... no need to horde all the supplies

BTW, I think he is limiting primers to 2k per customer for a while.

Do you know if he has IMR 4064 8lb jug left?
