Thumbs down "Gun Grip Guys" Coonan Grips Gripe

I recently bought a set of grips for my Coonan (Model B) 357 Magnum semi auto. The dimensions were off from factory specs - too narrow & too short. Made the Coonan look more like a 1905 Colt type semi auto than the 1911 it's patterned after.

I contacted & gave them specific measurements as to why their grips were off, they acknowledged they were too short - said something about making them that way for an "open magwell" effect? I wanted factory spec, instead they gave me their version of "close enough". BTW - Coonan mags are about $150.00 a pop, don't know of many guys doing a quick mag dump.

I returned the grips only to find they mailed them back to me saying they thought they were OK. They never initiated any contact & didn't notify me they had reshipped them - as it stands now, I have no grips AND they have my $$$. We're now in an EBay dispute for a lousy $25.00.

My judgement of a company is based on how well they handle the occasional problem. Based on their actions with me I'll never again be involved with Gun Grip Guys.

I'm sure all the Coonan owners appreciate Gun Grip Guys making it easier to drop these on the ground:

Hell, if you have 3 spare mags you can trade 'em in for a free gun.

I bought some 1911 grips from them and the holes for the bushings were off. I contacted them and them and sent the grips back priority mail about two weeks ago. Nothing has come back and they haven't contacted me since. Mark

No, but for whatever dingleberry reason, Coonan thought he had to reinvent the magazine to use rimmed cartridges.

DE 44 mag? or event the simple 22?Both are rimmed cartridges and use a regular style magazine.

I bought a set for my Coonan from there website, Long story I ended up with nothing I never got the grips I never got my money back, then I filed a report with the BBB knowing full well that they could not really do anything, But they told the BBB I was a thief and a liar that I had gotten 2 set of grips and a refund, I responded back asking for a canceled check and a copy of the shipping they showed no check and they showed a shipping receipt to someone that lives 300 from me and it was not even my name the only thing they got right was the state... THEY SUCK!!!!

thanks for the heads-up. communication means much to me with a company; especially when there is a problem.
