Default STAG 3G Upper. Does anyone have one?

I have been eying the Stag 3G upper for a while...Considering the current market nonsense, $715 shipped (Just up for $699) seems like a bargain. AR15Sales is a good place to buy uppers, and the owner states clearly that there is now a 20 WEEK WAIT. I figure I will forget all about it until I receive a mystery box around Easter or so.... Until then my BNIB featurless Stag lower and EXPS2 will sit quietly in the safe, waiting for their long lost sibling to complete them.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has one. They seem to be unobtanium everywhere.

MERRY CHRISTMAS CALGUNS!!!!

How could there possibly be a 20 week wait on anything?
He's obviously selling products he doesn't have in stock. Personally I'd shop elsewhere. Aren't all the Stag uppers in stock on stag's site right now? I can't see anywhere stating out of stock.

He gets them directly from Stag and it is cheaper than direct from Stag.

Before the last Friday, even way before the election, these things were unobtanium. No matter where you go, it was an 8 week lead time before shipping. AR15sales price are the best.

Even if you go to Stag's website 2 months back it was an 8 week lead time direct from Stag without the dealer discount. Now..... who knows what the lead time is.

I just picked one up from my LGS. They just happened to have it in stock while I was picking up some lowers. They said it took three months to come in from when they ordered it. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, been raining too much.

I have had one since last summer. I wanted the whole rifle, but settled on the upper when I actually saw one at my LGS. It was hard to find then, and I felt lucky to get it at the MSRP.

I have not had any time to do any run and gunning, so I have only shot it at the range. It is my first stainless steel barrel and I was a little surprised at the weight. But it shoots really well and the heavy barrel and brake/compensator really do keep that barrel rise down regardless of where you place your off hand for support.

Now if I can just find cheap ammo that it shoots sub Moa with, as if any ammo is cheap right now. Any premium ammo I have fed it has rewarded me with tight groups. I had some optic problems so I have not had time to get numbers.

Thanks for the comments fellows. Mine is going to go on a factory built Stag lower with an A2 stock and a Monsterman grip. Add in the braked 3G and the Eotech and it will be standard capacity magazine goodness.

Of course this will all happen sometime in late spring.....

Got mine from AR15Sales.com. Took 9 weeks a year ago or so. It is a heavy upper. I bought it specifically to shoot 3 Gun. Definitely an accurate barrel and has eaten everything I've fed it.

I bought a Stag 3 Kit from him 3 Months ago off of AR15.com when he had em going for 559 Shipped and built it on a Stripped stag lower. Ended up costing 659 to build a Complete Stag AR not including DROS. Giving it to the Daughters tonight.

Noonanda,
The Stag 3 and 3G are totally different uppers. The 3G is tricked out for "3 Gun" shooting, and costs about 50% more than the model 3.

That 20 weeks just became 200 weeks. If the D's pass a gun ban it may be never.

Buy what you can now or forget about it. I have a 2ht for sale new in the parts section here.

He is a good guy and your order is going to be shipped from the Stag factory directly. I ordered it in 2008 and got it after 4 month wait. The price is not inflated, so you can always sell it later if you change your mind.

Stag 2H Rifle Kit Less Stripped Lower
$629.00
