Default Thinking of A Fulton 308 Lower Group Buy

We have been thinking of doing a Fulton Armory 308 Group Buy. We would be selling for $350.00 shipped. We need at least 25 orders. Anybody interested?

Anyone know if a OLL 308 would be less expanesive to build than buying an
M1A?

I'd say the cost of building a .308OLL would be pretty close to buying an M1A, I'm assuming the M1A you're talking about is equivalent to a base model Springfield about ($1100), not a loaded, or SOCOM 16($1500-1600).

Most of the .308 OLL, the lowers are $300 and up, then you have the cost of the uppers (about 600 on low end I seen), so just in the lower and upper you have $900. That's not accounting for the lower parts kit and the grip or magazines depending on which route you decide to go (MMG with detachable mags) or 10rd and BB.

Some other users may want to chime in, but when I was shopping for a .308 OLL, my build would have cost over $1100. (was planning to use POF Lower since it just uses a standard AR 5.56 lower parts kit and then POF upper along). The only reason I got turned away from doing the .308 POF was because of the lack of POF uppers and having to use an adapter sleeve to fit a DPMS or Fulton upper for the POF. But that may change now since supposedly someone is going to release the adapter sleeves soon.

Dean, I'm interested in a Fulton lower though. Can't wait to DROS the AES-10B and the other rifle I got from DDS soon. Should be at my FFL on Monday. Thanks Dean!

I priced my .308 build at almost 1500 bucks. Funny thing, I seen complete for about $1400. I was told a M1A scout is more accurate.

Can the Fulton lower accept Armalite AR10 uppers? If it does, I am interested in one as well.

The scout is a fine rifle and handles well, but more accurate than a .308AR with a quality upper? I doubt it....

The free float barrel is Intrinsically a more accurate design and the optics mount far more reliable to zero than all but the most expensive M1A mount.

A well built AR will be sub 1/2 MOA. A match grade bedded M!A will be closer to 1 MOA and more likely to have issues with the bedding as time goes on.

I would say buy what you want, both are more accurate than any of us when shooting from a standing position... If your just bench shooting with a bi-pod then you can take advantage of the rifles ability

we are the weak point, not the rifle.

Not without some modification, but they will fit DPMS as a drop in.

I believe they were originally designed with modified M14 mags. Aside from a cut in the side to accomodate the magazine catch and a slightly modified follower to function properly in the AR-10 design they are the same magazine.

That's a good ? sava. I was under the impression that POF was a superior product but don't quoted me on that. I do have a POF .556 lower that is gorgeous.

Just had about 20 Fulton Lowers sold all at Del Mar Gun Show. Have plenty of P.O.F. 308 and about 5 GenIII in .223 If interested in Fulton will have more in about 2 weeks. Fulton are hard to get dont know if anyone else is having the same problem for ordering more.
