Smile When ATF and/or CADOJ come-a-callin'

initially, when they come to do the interview for a prospective new dealer license, are they adorned in the neon-lite ATF/ CADOJ windbreakers? curious, thanks

I had one inspector who looked like the typical "little old lady" in regular clothes. They are probably legally suppose to show you their credentials and she couldn't find hers when she got out of the car (a Camry, BTW). She was so concerned about having misplaced them that the inspection lasted only 1/3 the time of a normal one. Then later that day, she emailed me to say that she found them on her kitchen counter.

My ATF inspector could have been a Playboy Playmate. I was shocked as hell when I opened the door.

I too expected a crew of people in thin blue jackets with ATF lettered across the back in yellow. But a nice old lady showed up, plain and simple. All the forms she gave me were outdated so I threw them out and got the latest ones online. She was a little scatter-brained but extremely nice. Seemed like she was just doing her job like any other job.

It is a strange thing, getting a visit from the ATF, so I have heard...

What do they "inspect" for?
ie: what 'requirements' are they looking for?

FYI - FFL03 / C&R license related (if that makes a difference)
