Default Chinese AK47 Milled kits w/ virgin parts at Desert Fox Sales

Bachir at Desert Fox Sales informed me that they got in stock 6 Chinese AK47 milled kits, virgin parts no numbers minus furniture and gas tubes for $600 a kit. He said that anyone interested in getting one, just call and place an order over the phone. DON'T FORGET TO MENTION you are a member on this forum and use coupon code "fox" for an additional 10% off, that will make it $540. (661) 322-8100(ask for Matty)

I agree. If we don't get the barrel ban lifted, I predict you will see $1500 Rommy G AK kits with original barrels one day.

So what kind of deal is that? You get a barrel that works with no common trunnion, no flippin trunnions, no furniture either.
Wow what a deal.

Being a guru has nothing to do with pricing. Yes he is a good guy, and his stuff is usually priced fair. But this..... no.

For that kind of money, it better assemble itself and take out ghetto rats on it's own.

So what should come with a kit? And what's a decent price?

That's a complex question since there are a lot of factors. Currently AKM kits with no barrel typically go for $200-700, and ones w/ a original barrel $300-1200. Price will depend on origin, barrel, matching numbers, and condition.

This "kit" is milled so it should at least have the receiver stubs. If not you need trunnions to mount the barrel and stock. This has neither, another issue is, the Chicom guns use 19mm trunnions, that is not a common size. Therefore one would need to come up with a Chicom spec milled receiver (very expensive but avaliable) or a chicom spec front trunnion (haven't seen too many out there), or the least desirable would be to use a sleeve in a euro spec trunnion. That involves some serious machine work and someone who knows WTF their doing to get it right.
Add on the 600$ price......where's the lube.

CNC warrior does make a milled chicom spec receiver last I checked. That's another option and would turn an already expensive kit into a really expensive build

This appears to be a bit more involved in comparsion to milling a ar15 80% lower. It also seems as though it would be less expensive for a novice like myself to to just buy a complete ak.
