Default Machined a new elevation adjuster

The stock one on my work horse Choate is cheap feeling and doesn't work the best. The base has to turn to adjust elevation, and it wont sit flat on a surface when at an angle - causing sliding to be more likely. My new one you can turn to adjust elevation and the base stays put.

Lathed this out of a hardened steel pin, turned down the shaft and threaded 3/8-16 then knurled the top. Flipped it around and drilled and taped 1/2-13 to screw in a swivel.

Then I blued the whole thing.

Wow that looks great, did you give any texture to the swivel?
