Default Another AR or an AK?

I just got my comission check from last month and I am thinking about getting anouther EBR.

I currently have a nice Bushmaster AR15 and I am torn between getting another AR (would build from scratch, I have a few parts laying around) or an AK variant probably in 7.62X39. You can probably tell I think very highly of the VEPR.

What would you do?

I would go with an AK. I really don't see any reason for another AR unless you want a 308. And the 308 would be tough for 1k.

I'd say build a different AR if you really want one. Or go AK.
I have one AR battle rifle/M4 build done. My next build I'm working on is more SPR/Precision rifle.
I love my ARs. I do have a spot for AKs just never brought myself to buying one.

Get a saiga. With any extra funds buy some ar parts. Together with your lil bit of parts, your closer to another ar too.

I used to be an AR fanboy heh! But then I started hearing about and seeing folks build AKs. At first I thought I just wanted another AR, a 20 inch build... But after seeing enough AKs on this forum I took the plunge and got a Bulgarian AK-74 kit. Now I want to build an AK-47! Go for the AK!!!

I already tried to buy one of those, but he was out of stock of the 762 version and Centerfiresystems wont ship any semi autos to CA. (The bastards)

If you don't already have an ak 47 or 74, I'd say get that. Cheap ammo and everyone needs a knock around gun. Guilt free rapid fire and fun for all with ammo at 17/round

Better yet... build an ak. Around 350 for everything you need then hit up a build party for about 80bucks and 1 full day. Then you have some pride in what your shooting. AK are real builds with riveting, spacing etc so its way fun.
