Default HSGI Suregrip Padded Belt Sizing Help

Hey all. I am looking to order a high speed gear suregrip padded belt. I have searched here and haven't come up with much. Right now I wear 36" pants and apparently am right between the medium and large size belts. Was hoping folks here could share their experiences with the sizing of the belts and perhaps assist. Thanks.

Real quick, what will you be using this belt for? I took the belt with me this past summer while I was deployed in Afghanistan... After a few 10km patrols the padding separated from plastic insert and it began to rub away at my hips. Just thought I would share my experiences, even though mine might be on the more extreme side.

Yes it was the HSGI belt. If I were you, I would get the Tactical Tailor fight light belt. They make some quality stuff. I have the Tactical Tailor Malice Pack V3 and it's a beast, threw it in the wash and you couldn't even tell it was used in Afghan.

Another option is the ATS belt. It's cheaper only in price, not quality... I'm using one as my war belt.

http://www.skdtac.com/ATS-War-Belt-p/ats.510.htm

I think I got the XL version. I wear 36" or 38", depending on the pants, and the ATS belt wraps around my waist nicely with just jeans and a 5.11 BDU belt. It gives me maybe 3-4" between the two ends (I can measure if you'd like). I'm using a 762Tactical duty belt as for the inner portion..

Just keep in mind your inner belt and whatever you're wearing this belt over (ex. jeans, another belt, etc). Not just your pants size. You will be really surprised how fast those inches seem to change.

got the tactical tailor one for myself. waiting on a Duty belt from BDS tactical to actually get to wear it. should have it this week. they are made to order with 2-3 day lead time.

Bought the large one, but need about a 42" belt to fit. I wear a size 38 pant.
