Default Coyote down

Took my 14 yo son out (my new hunting partner) early this morning. First stand called in this male. Weighed in at just over 25 lbs. Called him in with a Foxpro Firestorm and a Mojo critter decoy. Taken with a Tikka T3 Hunter 22-250. Picture is of the exit wound. I dont think the bullet fragmented at all. Coyote was DRT, before it even hit the ground. Just the way I like it. My son tells me afterwards he had a shot. Next time.
Drew blanks on stand 2 and 3. Stand 4 was getting kinda late (1000 hrs) and was more of a scouting. Blew a mouth call expecting nothing and sure enough, a coyote comes bouncin out of the grass. Looked over at my son who was around 15 ft away and hes....taking a leak. He spins around and its too late, coyote saw us. All I had was my shotgun since I promised him the next coyote. Gonna have to go back to that area some day. New spot and it was full of tracks.
