Default TA31F RCO M4

Hi all,

I found a real good deal on the TA31F M4, I know its best calibrated for a 14.5 or 16" AR. I have a 16" and a 20" AR, going to us it on my 16". How would this optic hold up on a 20" AR? how far off will the BDC be?

thanks

-Sergio

IMO BDC only work anyways at a set range and with a certain type of ammo if its a good price jump on it.

Just learn your hold overs for your given rifle and ammo.

I've found that the BDC is pretty close with M193, or M193 bullet with a slightly lighter powder charge (assuming you zero with exact ammo). I'm currently running it on a 16" barrel. Inside of 300 yards, it shouldn't matter, anyway, as you are talking about a couple of inches either way. Out past 300 yards, you probably want a different scope anyway if you are doing target shooting. For man-sized targets, it's probably good to 500 yards, assuming you aren't using some weird 90-grain or 40 grain load.
