Default Featureless/Fixed Magazine Saiga Questions

So I am looking to make my stock saiga iz132 rifle into looking more like a converted ak series rifle, a calgunner shows me this stock and handguard http://www.troupsystems.com/saiga.htm . My question is can I block the thumbhole stock and still run featureless and if I did would the rifle feel awkward to shoot? Finally if I decide I do not like the way it feels, is it possible to add a bullet button without permanently modifiying the magazine release? The reason I do not want to convert my tifle right is Im trying to purchase as many long guns as I can before January 1st 2014. Futhermore the stock will cost less than converting the rifle and it will look taciticool just as it would have looked converted. Oh also as a left handed shooter would this stock work featureless/evil feature with a bullet button as it would work with a right handed shooter?

Completely filling the hole in the stock would make it no longer a thumbhole stock, so as long as you have no other evil features, you can keep your mag release the way it is.

I've never installed a mag lock on an unconverted Saiga, so I'm no help there.

The solar tactical ak maglock will bolt right on to the trigger guard with no modifications to the rifle.

Ok thats good to know. If I choose to go featureless again does the stock have to be permanetly filled in?

No, it doesn't have to be permanently filled. You can zip tie a piece of aluminum in there. Kydex would probably work, but I would make it bombproof in case someone tried to break it and charge you. I've also seen two pieces of plywood bolted together on opposite sides of the hole.

Just block it far enough back that you can't get your thumb around it when touching the trigger.

Sweet thanks for the help I can wait to get paid so I can purchase the stock and handguard. I cant wait, my rifle will be 922r compliant as long as I only use american made magazines that hold 11 or more rounds when I am out of state.
