Southern Ohio Gun's (SOG) recent flyer and website show surplus Bulgarian 7.62X54 ammo in tins that is supposedly Berdan primed and non-corrosive.
http://www.southernohiogun.com/ammo-...2x54-ammo.html For some reason, I thought all the surplus 7.62X54 was corrosive. Anyone know for sure? I shoot corrosive out of my Mosin's but prefer non-corrosive for the SVT-40 as the gas system takes quite awhile to clean well. |

Yeah, I know, but don't care about that.
It's the corrosive I'd rather avoid with the gas system on the SVT. My instincts tell me that this is probably corrosive, despite the advertising. |

Parallax Tactical sells that same ammo. I assumed it was corrosive but they should be able to give you a definite answer.
