Default SF Bay Area Fremont Help Wanted - Excel whiz, analytical, and good with high tech

Hi folks,

Boss gave me the OK to start seeking a candidate for our Fremont office - we need someone who is a whiz at Excel spreadsheets, good with analysis of figures and digging through data. Should know things like vlookups, pivot tables, more complex formulas, good visual formatting, working with lots of data (say, 1000 lines of items). You should also know how to use MS Powerpoint, importing Excel spreadsheets into presentations, as well as other clip art and data.

Would prefer someone who has an inclination towards technology (hardware HDD storage specifically). You'll need to be able to communicate well via email, IM, and face to face. You need to be mature and present yourself well. You will need to dress to impress at the office (that's just how the atmosphere is generally run).

Nearly any 4 year college degree is preferred, but for the right person, it may not be necessary (college students are ok, but we will need to discuss further).

This is a paying office job and is long term, not a temp position. Compensation to be discussed. You will need to interview with multiple people, including VP and Director level interviewers. Accordingly, be aware that there will be official steps taken and screening to be done before any hiring takes place.

Prefer someone who closely matches what I've outlined, as opposed to someone trying to make a career shift, or someone who is just trying to get a job just to get a job. And of course, personally, I'd like to see someone get hired who is pro-2nd Amendment, as this helps bolster the office ranks

Feel free to ask clarifying questions here in this thread, post your interest here, or send me a PM.

Update 1/28 - looks like we're going to fill the role with an internal transfer. Thanks to all who inquired!

Thanks,
Turby

Is this position still available? Can you PM me more info on the position if it is still open, including salary? I'm currently working overseas and supposed to return to a position in Washington D.C. since my application for a gig in Monterrey, Mexico, didn't pan out. I am considering returning to the bay area. Would an engineer by overqualified? I had previous extensive experience analyzing large datasets using MS Excel and visualization software, and I can give more details by PM.
Thanks Turby.
