Is there an AK or LR-308 version of this on the drawing board?

It will fit a .308 now, BUT the lower needs to be modified to increase comfort level. Check out my experimental .308. It's the second pic from the top.

I had to machine away about 1/2 oz. of material under the buffer tube threads and make a custom endplate. It works awesome. Once we get our initial product launched, we'll have time and budget to work on more compatibility. We're talking to several mfg'ers about cutting custom .308 lowers for us.

A solution for AK is a ways off still.

I saw on your site that you have a bullet button tool attached to your mags. The law states that no tool can be attached to the rifle... doesn't it? So, once the magazine is attached isn't said tool "attached" to the rifle? I'm sure its debatable but don't you think an overzealous MANIACAL agent would try to pin one on yah for this?

It's actually more like ANYTHING that is attached the the rifle is part of the rifle, not specifically a TOOL. And no it's not written as law it is implied but makes perfect sense. That said, 12voltguy is correct. If a mag with our tool is inserted into the rifle how can you use that tool on it to remove the magazine the tool is on? The answer is YOU CAN'T. You still need another tool to remove that mag.

These have been on the market for more than three years now. I'm kinda surprised you just found out about them seeing that you've been a Calguns member since last year.

Exactly.

I wouldn't put it beyond Yee to come up with a ban for these too (assuming SB 47 passes in the first place). You gotta wonder how far restricted states like CA are willing to go before a solid case makes it through SCOTUS and reverses all of these useless laws (or per Murphy's law, affirms them and sets in motion the demise of the 2A)

Edit: here's a video for those who haven't seen it

Edit #2:

Also, Thordo, I don't know how much demand there would be for it but it would be cool if you made a walnut version with a matching free float tube to give it that "traditional rifle" look (but seriously, though, I would buy it)

Is the CAA Stock Saddle able to mount to the buffer tube cover? or does only the Cheek Riser fit? Do you have the buffer tube cover in stock?

We were just talking about the CAA stock saddle yesterday. I need to get one to try but I don't see why it wouldn't. The BTC is the same diameter as a standard stock. Yes we have plenty in stock.

Even though I already bought the "pre-production" stock, I got my "production version" today and compared them. Then decided to post how I FRS-15 featureless builld!

DPMS Stripped/low profile upper (no dust cover/FA, but a lot thicker/heavier than normal uppers)
BCM Full Auto Bolt Carrier group
Yankee Hill Fluted CHF 20" Barrel
SJC Titan Compensator
Hogue free-float handguard
Harris 6-9" notched bipod (attached using a Magpul rail section to the bottom of the hand guard)
FRS-15 stock!
Calguns.net lower
Primary Arms 6x scope with ACSS
And the best part... PMag M3 20Rd (can use a 30Rd when shooting, but the gun rests on the mag if not supporting the back of the stock), and a STANDARD MAGAZINE RELEASE!

Can't wait to take the gun to the range and see how accurate it is!

Started out with an TM 80% lower, CNC milled it out, added a 14.5" Adams Arms Midlength Tactical Evo piston upper with a Trijicon ACOG TA33G-H, a Haley Strategic Inforce WML-HSP light/Thorntail Offset mount and a Magpul AFG (not a pistol grip per ATF). The lower was completed with a LWRC LPK and a Tactical Link Battery Assist lever (better ergos than the Magpul BADASS). And of course, added the FRS-15 Rifle Stock and Buffer Tube Cover. It's great to now keep my Raddlock in the full push button mode for my detachable mags!

Thanks for the great design and high quality components!

Awesome rig!!

Default DDMan - - "PMag M3 20Rd " !!!???

Just trying to edumacate muhself here. How can your pmag be used?? It's not pre-ban, like usgi's can be (M3 is gen3 - - no?)

I bot myself the stock and tube cover kit also. Instead of replacing the endplate tho' , i just used some thin felt, and now my hand's web is cozy and comfy.

Thank you Thordo!!With Thordo FRS-15 stock.jpg
