Default Any police buyback programs around?

I have an older Marlin 60 thats nothing but problems (FTF. FTE.) I was hoping to get one of those $75 giftcards that the LAPD gives out around the holiday season. Anyone know of any programs coming up in the the south LA or Orange county areas?

If a good, thorough cleaning doesn't fix the FTF/FTE, it might be an old enough M60 (18-shot) to have the bad feed throat. Something like a $25 fix, IIRC.

Any chance it's C&R? They did make these things in the 1960s, right?

Any idea of the date of manufacture?

I'd double check. If it's C&R, you can do a face-to-face tranfer. You can also sell it out of state, if you have travel plans anytime soon.

In LA, they have historically done them in May.

For the model 60, im certain it can be fixed. The usual problem, and fixes noted on You Tube too, is the breakage of part of the feed throat and a crack in the trigger guard near its rear mounting screw. The feed throat is easily replaced, you can do it.

If you dont think its worth the trouble or fear stripping the gun yourself to do the repair PM me for the sale of it. At the very worst I could use it for spare parts.
