Default *IGNORE: OVER* Stack-On 14-Gun Fire Resistant Safe: Lowes ($299) & Walmart ($279)

Hi All,

Lowe's has the Stack-On 14-Gun Black Fire Resistant Safe on sale for $299 starting today. You can make the purchase online right now (they aren't open until tomorrow) and pick it up later. And if you have their credit card, they are offering an additional 5% off, or 18-month interest-free financing.

Walmart will also have it on sale for $279 starting at 5 am on Friday for the rest of the weekend, but in-store only.

If you are a savvy shopper, you might be able to talk Lowe's into price-matching Walmart, and avoid the rush at Walmart. (Lowe's "Everyday Low Prices, Guaranteed" Policy)

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

I'd rather get the combo lock, but I tried to apply for the Lowes credit card and the APR is 24% !! ridiculous! there's no 5% off unless you buy $3500 on the first buy I think, how do you get the 18 month no APR deal? Only for those who already HAVE the card?

Either way, I'm getting it at Lowes with another card. Good deal

nevermind after completing the app they give you the option of 5% off or zero APR for 18 months, went for the latter. Can't do anything about price match since there is no one to talk to today (they're closed) and the walmart one is not the same, it has an electronic lock which I think is cheaper than the combo lock.

Try going online. Lowe's sales pitch was that you could start ordering the Black Friday deals online starting yesterday morning.

Will either ship them to your house? Walmart is crazy...cuz most of their stores don't CARRY this item, the ones who do, are DON'T Have them in STOCK! That's Walmart for Ya!!!! And you can't buy them online. So, I don't think we have a choice here.... but to buy from Lowes. As for the electronic dials...yeah that's a deal breaker for me. I don't know how to make the combination dials work....

I still need a safe badly!!!!!!!

I'm going to write walmart head people for giving our hopes up. If it's in the ad, why not have it in the store? But as a back up, I went ahead and bought the one at lowes with a 10% off with 470218415921370.

Ventura Lowe's had 3 in stock at 7:AM. I bought the last one at 9:30 this morning. I know there are higher quality safes but this one is good enough and fits my budget.

Now, how do I get this darn thing out of my Jeep and up to the 3rd floor of my house?

Just ordered one online for pickup! This Lowes (City of Industry) said there were 7 in stock when I added it to my cart. Looked like a lot of the surrounding Lowes had over 5 each in stock as well.

Now to find some willing friends to come with me to pick it up and drag it into my house...

I just got one from Lowes. My one and only BF purchase. The Lowes in San Dimas had about 4 (3 now!)

This safe looks sturdy but it isn't that large or heavy. The Lowes guys put it in my truck. The box is about 56" tall and weighs around 300lbs. I was able to get it off my truck and into my garage myself.

If you already have a big safe, this one is perfect as an ammo / accessories safe or to put a few guns into as a 'fall back' location...

!! The Door comes off really easily after the safe is opened !!

1. Remove the chrome hinge caps by lightly tapping them off with a flat head screwdriver.
2. From the bottom side of both hinges, remove the large hinge locking screw with an allen wrench ( I think it might have been 1/4" allen)
3. Lift door off hinges. You will need to wiggle/rotate the door a bit but it lifts off easily.

The safe and door are now separate and a lot easier to move.

I just picked mine up and managed it into the garage by myself too. Didn't need my friend after all.. I guess that extra case of beer is all mine!

I guess that explains why I saw 3 people hauling the safes out of the store at about 1;00pm.

I know it's not the same safe but I just bought this one from Tractor Supply Co: http://www.tractorsupply.com/cannon-...pacity-3910204

The sale on them ends tonight and they will do a raincheck for the price if they don't have any left (what I had to do). They also have another smaller safe for 550.

Heads up. Walmart finally listed on their site to buy and free ship to home or store. Sort of pissed that 2 walmarts I went to didn't have them. Wasted time not sleeping. Just got up just for this item. Wanted to avoid day crowd. I was surprised when there were hardly people there and lots of items still there.

Is a 600+lbs safe, okay to install in a bedroom on 2nd floor of the house. Old house - my concern is the floor, walls, and house structure. Having this heavy thing installed in one spot over the years, will it make a negative impact on the structure of the house, or just fall off from the floor to the bottom floor. Please give tips, ideas, and whether or not its even possible... Thanks!

I have no idea man but I Googled it and found someone asked a similar question on Yahoo Answers and would think some of the advice there is your best bet: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...4181657AASMcVs

Had my reloading stuff and safe on the second floor for a few years, then moved it downstairs, it's just so much more convenient. Moved to a different house with room in the garage...even more convenient. Didn't have to make that long climb up the stairs several times before a range trip because of forgotten things.

Me and my dad just split the cost of one! At the lowes on Topanga Canyon they has three left and then just as me and my dad bought one someone bought another. It is a good deal for a gun safe and even better with 18 months to pay for it. Thanks Cal Guns for the deal I would have never found out about it had I not been a member here!

San Jose Store on Brokaw has one left. I was there, but decided not to make the purchase. At first the lady refused to match let alone add the 10% beat the price because the model number didnt match..one ends with a B and the other ends with an E. I have mentioned that peeps around the country are getting the deals at Lowes. So she went and asked her manager, he agreed to match the price but will not add the 10%. I dont have a truck, and the safe will not fit in my car...for delivery Lowes will charge $80. Therefore, no buy from me. So i bought the one from Walmart instead with free shipping to my house...$279 plus tax comes to $302.77.. Im a happy camper.

Note: Lowes on Cottle has 3 left. And the one in Sunnyvale has 15 left. Good luck putting your charm on the manager at these locations, you might get the price match + 10% off. Need a truck though.

Bought one online a couple days ago with a trick on slickdeal to stack two 10% off coupons together to get $260.96 otd. Didn't really like the combination because it's slower than a electronic lock but for the price difference I can live with that.

How'd you apply two codes? I only seem to be able to insert one.

Make sure you have another code that you can use, open another tab on the page where you can enter the code, put another code on another tab, click apply code on both tabs and refresh.

Got mine from Lowes on Friday they priced matched wal-marts ad(of course they did not carry it in the store but had it on their ad) but did not beat it by 10% because the idem number did not match because Wal-Marts is electronic and Lowes is combo.

Does anybody know if Walmart will deliver? I certainly do not have the right vehicle or the man power to move a safe around.
