Default I need your thoughts & opinions on a High Rise Scope Mount???

I am getting my 24” varmint A4 rifle in a couple of weeks and I bought a 6 x 20 x 50 scope for it. I want to get a quality high rise scope mount and I was thinking about the RRA single unit scope mount. Everywhere I look the RRA scope mount seems to have good reviews and seems to be the best bang for the buck. I was wondering if anyone knew about this scope or maybe had other offers I might be interested in. I looked at the Burris PEPR but I like the idea the RRA is made in the USA and the reviews were better for the RRA. I’m curious if anyone has idea about this mount and where would be the best place to order the RRA mount. Also can anyone tell me the difference between the Hi-Rise Scope Mount and the Hi-Rise Cantilever Scope Mount?

Any information will be much appreciated… thanks.

cantilever mounts like the RRA model push the rings farther forward, which allows you to set up your eye relief correctly without having to put part of the mount on the handguard (which is not desirable). generally speaking, cantilever mounts appear to be the best solution for mounting glass on flat-top ARs.

the PEPR seems pretty popular. there is a web page out there that compares most of the one-piece mounts that currently exist on the market; i believe it calls the PEPR the best buy in the $100 range. i'll come back and post the link if someone else doesn't beat me to it.

ETA: the comparison chart is here; the actual quote is "The Burris PEPR appears to be the best under $100 AR one-piece mount currently available." the RRA cantilever didn't make the list, but you should still be able to get an idea of what the market is like and what you should be looking for.

personally, i have an ADM mount, which is pretty sweet but may be more than you're looking to spend.
